Kukas · Aravalli foothills
Fairmont Jaipur was designed to look like a Mughal-Rajput palace and to host weddings at scale. With 245 rooms on site, most families take over the hotel for three or four days, and the beauty schedule becomes part of the property's routine.

How bookings work
Tejaswini is a Pune-based bridal artist. For Fairmont weddings she stays on property through the functions and does the bride's looks herself; family artists are added if you need them. Fares and a room close to Fairmont Jaipur are the family’s cost, charged without mark-up.

Looks by function

Shade from the arches but bright sky above. Soft, breathable base, a pastel lip and a braid that keeps hair out of the way.

Choreography and stage lights. Strong eyes, a long-wear lip and a set base that will not slide when the dancing starts.

Classic red with polki or kundan. The drape is planned with the jewellery so nothing pulls by the second round.

Gold interiors already add warmth, so the reception palette goes cooler: rose, mauve or berry rather than more gold.

What it is like
Fairmont Jaipur is a modern building dressed as a palace: arched corridors, painted ceilings, a mirrored dining room named Sheesh Mahal and courtyards with fountains. It stands on the highway side of Jaipur at Kukas, with the Aravalli hills directly behind.
Because everything is under one roof, weddings here tend to run as a single long event. Families arrive on day one, the mehendi is that afternoon, and the pheras and reception follow without anyone leaving the property.
That convenience brings one makeup problem: gold. Gilded interiors and warm lighting throw yellow onto skin. A base that looks right in a white bathroom can look orange in a gold corridor, so tone is checked in the room where photographs will actually be taken.

Tejaswini
Tejaswini has worked as a bridal artist since 2012. At a property like Fairmont, where the whole wedding happens in one place, she plans the sequence of looks so each function photographs differently, and keeps a written call sheet for the planner and photographer.
