Wedding at Hotel Irada, Pune Wine Country

Location: Roti–Hinganigada, Daund taluka, Pune district, Maharashtra · near Baramati · about 70 km from Pune

Hotel Irada sits in the heart of Pune’s wine country, Maharashtra’s quieter vineyard belt south-east of the city: a neoclassical manor on a 66-acre working winery near Baramati, with reserve forest on every side and decks that open straight onto the vines. If you are getting married here, this page is for you: how we plan bridal makeup for a vineyard estate two hours out of Pune, every event space and what it holds, what a wedding here realistically costs, and the bridal work and reels we are proudest of.

Our approach

Getting a bride ready on a vineyard estate.

We plan an Irada wedding the way we plan any destination wedding: from the venue backwards. A vineyard two hours from the city has its own rules — the light, the dust, the distance and a short list of rooms. This is how we work with them.

  • Book the getting-ready room firstDepending on which source you read, Irada has somewhere between 32 and 59 rooms, and they go quickly once the guest list is in. Hold the room with the largest window for the bride and a second room for the family looks. Our team works like a small studio, and a second room takes hours off the morning.
  • Rich interiors, daylight baseThe rooms lean into wine-country colour — burgundy tones, chandeliers, warm lamps. Beautiful to sit in, misleading to match a foundation in. We set the base at the window and check it outdoors before the dupatta goes on, so it reads the same on the lawn as it did in the mirror.
  • The vines photograph best lateThe decks and the West Lawn look out over the vineyard and the forest line. Protect the last forty minutes before sunset for portraits, and make sure the bride is finished and free well before that window opens, not during it.
  • Open country means wind and dustLawns and grassland on the Deccan plateau are dry for most of the wedding season. Hair is pinned for a breeze rather than a ballroom, the base is set to last a long outdoor evening, and a touch-up kit comes to every function, not only the wedding.
  • Two hours each way changes the timelineIrada is roughly 70 km from central Pune. For a morning muhurat, a team driving out would be starting in the middle of the night, and that shows on a bride’s face and in the timeline. We stay on site the evening before; the stay is quoted separately.
  • A palette that suits the settingWine, blush, rust and champagne gold. A vineyard carries richer, warmer tones beautifully, so we often build the reception look around a berry lip and a soft bronze eye that echo the estate instead of fighting it.

The bridal portfolio

Our best bridal work, for every function.

Handpicked from Tejaswini’s portfolio to show the range an Irada weekend asks for — haldi on the lawn, a cocktail night in the cellar, the wedding itself. Every photograph is our own work from weddings across Pune, Mumbai and destination venues. None of them were taken at Irada, and we would rather tell you that than let you assume it.

The venue

What Hotel Irada actually is.

A grand private estate in the middle of a working winery, at Roti–Hinganigada in Daund taluka, close to Baramati in Pune district. The old manor has been reworked into a design-led hotel with interiors by the Humming Tree studio, and it opens onto decks over the vines. It is a member of Design Hotels and bookable through Marriott Bonvoy, so you will see it listed as Hotel Irada, Hotel Irada Pune Wine Country and Hotel Irada – Wine Country, By Marriott. They are all the same place.

Capacities are from the venue’s WedMeGood listing; the right-hand column is our suggestion, not the hotel’s. The room count is the one figure that genuinely varies between sources — the Design Hotels factsheet lists 32 rooms, launch coverage mentioned 48 keys and WedMeGood lists 59 — so ask the hotel exactly how many rooms a buyout gives you before you finalise the guest list.

House rules worth knowing early

  • Catering is in-house onlyThe kitchen does every meal, and the hotel promotes its Michelin Guide 2026 recognition. Plan your menus with them rather than around them.
  • Your own decorator is allowedOutside decorators are permitted, per the listing. That is unusual for a property at this level and it gives you room to shop the single biggest line in the budget.
  • Alcohol is in-house onlyOutside alcohol is not permitted. At a working winery the estate wines are the obvious place to start.
  • Bring your own DJThere is no in-house DJ; an outside DJ is permitted, so book one early and plan for their travel.

Between functions there is plenty to keep a wedding party busy: winery tours and tastings with the sommelier, forest walks and grassland safaris, the spa, and long-table dinners set out among the vines. It gives an Irada wedding the feel of a weekend away rather than a string of events.

The budget

What a wedding at Hotel Irada costs.

The hotel does not publish a wedding price, so here is the honest version: the rates that are publicly listed, what they add up to for a realistic weekend, and the lines people forget. Only the makeup figures are ours. Everything else comes from public listings and needs confirming with the hotel.

Our team’s travel and on-site stayQuotedDepends on the number of functions and days

A worked example

Two days, 120 guests, 40 rooms held for two nights, four catered functions. On the published rates, rooms come to about ₹24 lakh, catering to about ₹23 lakh at an average of ₹4,750 a plate, and four event rentals to ₹4 lakh — roughly ₹51 lakh before decor, taxes and everything else. Add decor, photography, music, bridal beauty and guest transport and a realistic figure sits somewhere around ₹65 to ₹80 lakh before taxes. The full-property rate, about ₹80 lakh for two days, makes sense once you want every room and the whole estate to yourselves. This is our arithmetic on public numbers, not a quote.

What people forget to budget

  • TaxesPer-plate and room rates are listed before tax. Ask for the all-in figure in writing.
  • A DJ and their travelThere is no in-house DJ, so music is an outside booking with its own travel and stay.
  • Decor logisticsBeing able to bring your own decorator is a saving, but everything travels 70 km from Pune. Make sure the transport is in the decor quote.
  • Guest transportIrada is about two hours from Pune and roughly 230 km from Mumbai. Coaches across several functions add up quickly for anyone not staying on site.
  • Rooms for the vendorsYour makeup team, photographers and decorator realistically need to be on the estate the night before. With a limited room count, those rooms need holding early.
  • The second and third bridal lookAn Irada wedding is usually a weekend with three or four functions. Budget per look, not per wedding.

Figures checked in October 2026 against public listings. Venue pricing changes with the season, the day of the week and the size of the booking, so treat this table as the start of your conversation with the hotel, not a quote. Our makeup prices are the ones we publish on the Pune bridal packages page.

Questions

Hotel Irada wedding questions, answered.

Venue facts here come from the hotel, Design Hotels and public wedding directories, checked in October 2026. The makeup and timing answers are ours.

Have you done a wedding at Hotel Irada?

Not yet, and we would rather say so plainly. The photographs and reels on this page are Tejaswini’s own work from weddings across Pune, Mumbai and destination venues. Irada is in Pune district, close to home for us, and we plan it the way we plan every out-of-town venue: on site the day before, with a timeline built around the drive and the light. We are not affiliated with the hotel.

Where is Hotel Irada, and how far is it from Pune?

The estate is at Roti–Hinganigada in Daund taluka, near Baramati in Pune district. It is roughly 70 km from central Pune and about 60 to 75 km from Pune airport, depending on the source and the route, so allow around two hours by road. Mumbai is roughly 230 km away.

How many guests can Hotel Irada host for a wedding?

The largest single space is the West Lawn, at 250 seated or 300 floating. The Cellar takes 150 seated, the Irada Pool Club 120 seated, and the East Lawn, Nyasa Lawn and Winery Deck 100 seated each; the Decanter holds 35. Those are the figures on the venue’s WedMeGood listing. It suits intimate and mid-sized weddings far better than a 1,000-guest one.

How many rooms does Hotel Irada have?

Published figures disagree. The Design Hotels factsheet lists 32 rooms, launch coverage mentioned 48 keys and the WedMeGood listing says 59. Ask the hotel how many rooms a buyout includes for your dates before you lock the guest list, and hold rooms for your vendors early.

How much does a wedding at Hotel Irada cost?

There is no single published price. Public listings quote around Rs 4,500 per vegetarian plate and Rs 5,000 per non-vegetarian plate before tax, Rs 30,000 per room per night, Rs 1,00,000 venue rental per event, and about Rs 40 lakh per day for the full property including rooms, three meals and the venue. On those rates a two-day wedding for 120 guests realistically lands around Rs 65 to Rs 80 lakh before taxes. Confirm current rates directly with the hotel.

Can we bring our own decorator to Hotel Irada?

Yes. According to the venue’s WedMeGood listing, outside decorators are permitted. That lets you compare decor quotes, but make sure transport from Pune is included in them.

Is outside alcohol or an outside DJ allowed?

Outside alcohol is not permitted; alcohol is served in-house. There is no in-house DJ, and an outside DJ is permitted, so music is something you book yourselves.

What is the best time of year for a wedding at Hotel Irada?

November to February is cool and dry, which suits a venue where most of the spaces are open lawns and decks. March to May gets hot on the Deccan plateau, so plan evening functions and a long-wear base. In the monsoon the vines are at their greenest, but keep the Cellar as your backup for outdoor functions.

What time should the bride’s makeup start for a morning muhurat?

Work backwards from the ceremony: a bridal look with hair and draping takes about two and a half to three hours, plus time for photographs before you walk out. At a venue two hours from Pune the only sensible answer is for the artist to be on site the night before, which is what we do.

Do you stay at Hotel Irada the night before?

Yes, for any morning function and usually for the whole wedding weekend. The team’s travel and on-site stay are quoted separately from the bridal package, so you can see exactly what they cost.

How much do you charge for bridal makeup at Hotel Irada?

Our bridal rate here is Rs 45,000 per look for HD or airbrush makeup, hairstyling and draping, and Rs 20,000 per look for family members. Travel and an on-site stay are quoted separately.

What kind of bridal makeup suits a vineyard wedding?

Warm, rich tones photograph beautifully against vines and forest: wine, berry, rust, blush and champagne gold. For outdoor daytime functions we keep the base light and long-wearing; for an evening reception in the Cellar or on the West Lawn we build more definition so the look holds under festoon lights and flash.

Where are the best bridal portraits taken at Hotel Irada?

The Winery Deck and the West Lawn, with the vineyard and the forest line behind, in the last forty minutes before sunset. The rows of vines themselves make a natural frame, and the manor’s neoclassical front works for formal family portraits. Ask your photographer to protect the golden-hour window.

Is Hotel Irada the same as Hotel Irada by Marriott?

Yes. Hotel Irada, Pune Wine Country is a member of Design Hotels, which is part of Marriott, and it is bookable through Marriott Bonvoy. Listings call it Hotel Irada, Hotel Irada Pune Wine Country or Hotel Irada – Wine Country, By Marriott; it is one property.
