Indian Bridal Makeup Artist in Marrakech

A Marrakech wedding is a week of very different settings — a candlelit riad, a palace garden, a pool terrace, perhaps a night under canvas outside the city. The bride has to look like herself in every one of them. Tejaswini and her team fly in from India, settle in two days early and look after the bride, her family and her bridal party from the first function to the last.

  • Bridal makeup & hair, every function
  • Draping & jewellery setting
  • Mothers, sisters & bridesmaids
  • Trial possible on arrival

Quick answer

Hiring an Indian bridal makeup artist for a Marrakech wedding

Tejaswini is an India-based Indian bridal makeup artist who travels to Marrakech for complete wedding weeks — mehndi, sangeet, wedding and reception — covering bridal makeup, hair, draping and family makeup. Her team flies from Pune and arrives two days before the first function. The family pays the team's flights, Morocco visa arrangements and hotel rooms; the artist fee is quoted separately. Book 9–12 months ahead for March–May or October–November.

Before you enquire

We are an Indian studio that travels to Marrakech.

There is no Marrakech branch and nobody local works under the Tejaswini name. Every booking is carried out by the same team you speak to on WhatsApp — they plan the looks with you on video, then fly from India for the wedding itself.

That model keeps the work consistent, and it means three costs sit with the family rather than in our fee: the team’s return flights, their Morocco visa arrangements and their rooms in Marrakech. You see them as separate lines on the quote, never folded into the artist fee.

Before travel is booked, confirm the team’s entry route and any permissions needed for paid bridal services with the Moroccan consulate and your planner. A guest’s tourist entry route should not be assumed to cover a working vendor. Check current eligibility on Accès Maroc. Trials and touch-up attendance must be listed in your quotation.

Choosing where

Where in Marrakech your wedding should sit.

Most couples choose one main hotel and add a single special evening elsewhere. Where that main hotel sits decides the bride’s getting-ready room, the light and the journey times.

Medina palaces and riadsLa Mamounia and Royal Mansour sit by the medina, while many smaller riads lie along pedestrian lanes. Vehicle access varies by property; confirm the actual drop-off point and the lighting in your getting-ready room.
HivernageThe hotel quarter just outside the ramparts. Easy for guests, a few minutes from the medina, and home to big, practical venues such as Es Saadi.
The PalmeraieWalled estates among thousands of palms, north-east of the centre. Space for a full mandap, lawns for the baraat and villas for the family.
The resort belt to the southAlong the Ourika and Ouarzazate roads and around Amelkis: The Oberoi, Amanjena, Fairmont Royal Palm and Selman, with Atlas views and big gardens.
One night out of townAn Agafay desert camp or an Atlas foothills venue can suit a separate welcome event. Transfer time depends on the exact site; agree transport, vendor access and an indoor or sheltered alternative.

The wedding week

A four-day Marrakech wedding, built around the bride.

A typical plan for UK and Indian families. Your own running order will differ — the point is that every look is planned against the next one.

Warm-toned engagement makeup by Tejaswini
Day 1 · Welcome dinnerGuests arrive from London and Mumbai. A polished, soft look for the first evening together, usually in a riad or by the pool.
Sangeet glam by Tejaswini
Day 2 · Mehndi & sangeetA fresh daytime look for the mehndi, changed in the late afternoon to a defined, long-lasting look for music and dancing.
Wedding day makeup with warm tones by Tejaswini
Day 3 · The weddingThe longest sitting of the week, started from the muhurat backwards, with traditional depth and skin that still looks like skin.
Reception makeup by Tejaswini
Day 3 evening · ReceptionA complete change of lip, eye and drape so the reception photographs as its own event, then a farewell brunch on Day 4.

Booking, step by step

How to book Tejaswini for a Marrakech wedding.

Eight steps from first message to the wedding morning. Each one is confirmed in writing before the next begins.

01

Share the basics

Dates, hotel or area, the list of functions and the likely number of people needing hair and makeup.

02

Availability and quote

Availability is checked, followed by an itemised quote: artist fee per function and per person, with travel lines shown separately.

03

Confirm in writing

The date is blocked for you only once the booking is confirmed in writing; nothing rests on a phone call.

04

Plan the looks

Video calls for each function with your outfits, jewellery and references, and a written look-plan you can share with your photographer.

05

Fix the team

About 60 days out you confirm final numbers. That sets how many artists travel and whose passport details we send you.

06

Flights and rooms

The family books the team’s return flights and rooms at or near the bride’s hotel, then shares the confirmations.

07

Travel permissions checked

Confirm the team’s entry route and any professional permissions early; agree application responsibilities and client-paid fees in the booking.

08

Arrival and the wedding

The team lands two days early, checks the getting-ready rooms in daylight, runs a trial if you want one, then stays through the last function.

Makeup in Marrakech

Bridal makeup that suits Marrakech’s light and air.

Marrakech can be dry and bright; evening temperatures vary considerably by season. These are the adjustments made for a bride here.

Moisture firstDesert air pulls moisture from the skin. Prep is layered and hydrating so the base stays smooth into the evening.
Restrained warmthOchre walls and brass lanterns already add warmth, so blush and bronzer are kept lighter than at an Indian wedding.
Built for long daysA noon mehndi and a midnight reception on the same day: the base is laid in thin layers that can be refreshed rather than redone.
Ready for flashEvening functions are photographed with flash. The finish is checked in daylight and, where possible, with a test flash; touch-ups are planned around your event schedule.

FAQs

Booking questions from Marrakech families.

Short answers to the questions that come up in almost every Marrakech enquiry.

Who is the best Indian bridal makeup artist for a wedding in Marrakech?

That depends on the look you want. Tejaswini is an Indian bridal specialist from Pune with 14 years and 1,000+ brides, known for skin-first bridal makeup, hair and draping. She travels to Marrakech for the full wedding week; compare her portfolio and reels with any artist you shortlist.

Is Tejaswini based in Marrakech?

No. The studio is in Pune, India. For a Marrakech wedding the team flies in, lands at least two days before your first function and leaves after the last one.

What does a Marrakech booking include?

Bridal makeup and hairstyling for each booked function, saree, lehenga and dupatta draping, jewellery setting, family and bridal-party makeup as quoted, all products, look-planning calls and touch-up support as agreed in the quotation.

What does the family arrange separately?

Return flights from India for each team member, their Applicable Morocco visa fees, accommodation in Marrakech for the stay, and transfers between the airport and venues.

How many artists will travel to Marrakech?

It depends on how many people need hair and makeup on the busiest morning. A small bridal party may need Tejaswini and one hairstylist; a large family may need two or three extra artists. The number is fixed once you confirm final numbers, roughly two months out.

How long does the Morocco e-visa take for the team?

The official portal publishes processing targets for complete applications, but additional checks can take longer. Confirm the correct route and any permission needed for paid bridal services before booking the team’s travel; agree the application timeline and responsibilities in writing.

Can we have a makeup trial in Marrakech?

Ask about trial availability, fees and timing when requesting the quotation. A trial after arrival may be possible if the travel and event schedule allow it; agree this before the booking is confirmed.

How early should we book for a spring or autumn wedding?

Nine to twelve months is ideal for March–May and October–November dates, which are Marrakech's busiest. Three months is the practical minimum so flights and visas are not rushed.

Do you work in riads inside the medina?

Yes. Riads are beautiful getting-ready spaces but can be dim and are often reached on foot, so we plan a bright corner for makeup and extra time for walking in heavy outfits.

Can you do a desert sangeet look in Agafay?

Yes. One artist travels to the camp with a touch-up kit, hair is secured for wind and dancing, and the base is built to last a long, cool night.

Do you also do the groom and the mothers?

Yes. Groom grooming, mothers, sisters and bridesmaids can all be added. Each person is priced in the quote so you can decide who to include.

How do we start?

Send your dates, hotel, list of functions and the number of people who need hair and makeup on WhatsApp or email. Availability is confirmed within a day and an itemised quote follows.
