A little history
Borgo Finocchieto is a cluster of medieval buildings on a hill near Buonconvento, in the countryside south of Siena. Restored as a private estate, it is rented for exclusive use, so a wedding party has the whole village to itself.
Indian families know it from December 2017, when cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma married there in a small, private ceremony that made headlines across India.
For the bride, exclusive use is the luxury: getting ready in her own villa, family in the next house and no other guests anywhere. For us it means planning everything in advance, because the nearest town is a drive away.

The wedding day
We ask for a room with good window light and a second room close by for family makeup, so the bride’s room stays calm.
Family looks run in parallel with the bridal skin prep, timed so nobody waits in the corridor.
Hydration, primer and a base built for golden Tuscan afternoons and candlelight.
Maang tikka, nath and dupatta set with the outfit on, checked from every angle the photographer will use.
First photographs while the makeup is at its freshest, before the busiest part of the day.
One artist stays near the mandap with a touch-up kit: blotting papers, powder, lip and spare pins.
New lip, refreshed eyes and a second hairstyle if planned; allow 60–75 minutes.

Function by function

Long golden afternoons among olive trees and vines. A breathable base, a fresh flush and a relaxed braid or bun.

Lanterns, stone walls and a long night. Smoky eyes in warm browns and a base set for heat from a crowded dance floor.

Open sky and Tuscan sun. A long-wear satin base, warm gold on the lids and pins that hold the dupatta in a hillside breeze.

Candles and string lights outdoors. A glowing but controlled base, a deeper lip and a hairstyle that survives the evening chill.

Tejaswini
Tejaswini has styled more than a thousand Indian brides since 2012, and remote countryside weddings reward her habit of planning everything on paper. At Borgo Finocchieto she packs a complete kit with backups, designs a soft golden-hour look for the lawn and a warmer candlelight look for dinner.
