Lake villas, Roman palazzi, Tuscan estates, cliff-top gardens on the Amalfi Coast and white masserie in Puglia. Tejaswini’s team flies from Pune for the whole wedding week, so the bride who planned her looks in India sits down for her pheras in Italy with the same artist.

Please read first
Tejaswini’s studio is in Pune, India, and there is no Italian branch or local stand-in working under her name. She travels for weddings and pre-wedding shoots, arriving ahead of the first function and staying until the last.
Return flights, Schengen visas and accommodation for the team are paid by the client and appear on separate lines of the quote.
The short answer
Tejaswini is an Indian bridal makeup artist based in Pune. For a wedding in Italy her team flies out, lands at least a day before the first function and stays until the last. The artist fee is quoted separately from the team’s flights, Schengen visas and rooms, which the family pays directly or reimburses at cost.
Most Indian weddings in Italy happen in eight places: Lake Como and Lake Garda for villa weddings on the water, Rome for palazzi and castles, Tuscany for countryside estates, the Amalfi Coast for cliff-top gardens, Venice for palazzi on the Grand Canal, Puglia for whitewashed masserie and Sicily for Taormina’s sea views. Each region has its own page below, plus a separate guide to every venue Indian families shortlist most.

Who you are booking
Tejaswini has been doing Indian bridal makeup since 2012. Fourteen years and more than a thousand brides later, she still leads every bridal look herself, from her studio and academy in Baner, Pune, to weddings across India and brides who fly in from abroad to book her.
She came to makeup from an IT engineering degree at Pune University, and it shows in how she works: everything is planned, written down and timed. Her style is the opposite of heavy: skin that still looks like skin, definition where the camera needs it, and a bride who looks like herself in every photograph.
That approach suits Italy particularly well. Italian venues are photographed in soft, natural light, against stone, water and gardens, and heavy makeup looks out of place there. For an Italy wedding, the same artist who planned your looks with you in the months before is the one holding the brush on the morning of your pheras.

| Rome | Rome Fiumicino (FCO) | 100–500 in hotels and castles | Grand, historic, formal | Strong sun, stone heat and flash-heavy ballrooms |
| Tuscany | Florence (FLR), Pisa (PSA) or Rome | 50–250 on private estates | Rustic luxury, whole-village buyouts | Strong summer sun and warm, dry air |
| Amalfi Coast | Naples (NAP) | 30–150; cliff venues are small | Dramatic, romantic, intimate | Heat, humidity and steps everywhere |

Many families combine two regions: a Lake Como wedding with a pre-wedding shoot in Venice, or a Puglia wedding after a few days in Rome. The team can move with you, as long as the train or flight and an extra night are in the plan. Italy’s high-speed trains make Rome, Florence, Milan and Venice especially easy to link.
Calendar
A general guide across the regions. Each region page has its own notes.
May, June, September and early October are the reliable months: warm days, long evenings and gardens at their best. July and August are hot, crowded and expensive, especially on the Amalfi Coast and in Puglia, and many Italians take holidays in mid-August, which can affect suppliers. Daytime functions outdoors then need shade and a sweat-resistant base.
Most lake hotels and many coastal properties close for the winter, roughly from November to March. Rome, Florence and Venice stay open all year and suit a winter wedding indoors, often at better value.
Before you book a villa
None of these stop an Indian wedding; they just need to be known before the contract is signed.
Many villas, especially on the lakes and in small towns, limit amplified music in the evening, often to around midnight. A late sangeet usually moves indoors or starts earlier, which changes the makeup timetable.
An open flame needs the venue’s permission. Many venues allow a small, contained havan kund with a fire-safety plan; a few allow only candles. Confirm this before you fall in love with a terrace.
Horses, dhol and processions on public roads need municipal permission and are not possible everywhere. On the lakes and in Venice the baraat often arrives by boat, which matters for hair and dupatta.
Many Indian couples hold a symbolic ceremony in Italy and register the marriage in India. A civil marriage in Italy needs extra documents arranged months ahead; your planner or a lawyer advises on this, not us.

Italy bookings are quoted in two clearly separated parts, so nothing is hidden inside a single number.
Visas and paperwork
Indian passport holders need a Schengen visa to enter Italy; there is no visa on arrival. For a wedding the team applies for a short-stay (type C) Schengen visa through the Italian visa application centre run by VFS Global in India. Applications can be lodged up to six months before travel, need biometrics and a personal appointment, and typically take around 15 working days to process, longer in summer.
Apply early in the season. Summer visa appointments in India fill up weeks ahead.
The file normally includes confirmed return flights, hotel bookings for the whole stay, travel insurance and a letter from the family or planner describing the event, the dates and who is paying for the trip. We send you the exact list for each person as soon as the booking is confirmed, and we ask for room confirmations early, because the application cannot be filed without them.
Visa rules and fees change, so we re-check them for every booking rather than relying on last season. The rule we never bend: the team lands at least a full day before the first function, so a delayed connection never becomes a bride waiting in her robe.

No. The studio is in India and the team flies in for your dates. We do not hand bookings to local stand-ins working under our name.
The family. These costs are listed separately from the artist fee and paid at cost, either booked by you or your planner, or reimbursed against receipts.
Yes. Indian passport holders need a Schengen short-stay visa, applied for in India through the visa application centre with biometrics. Allow at least six to eight weeks before the wedding for appointments and processing.
For May, June and September dates, 12 to 18 months ahead, which matches the lead time the villas themselves need. The team’s visas are filed once rooms and flights are confirmed.
For 250 guests or more, look at Puglia’s large resorts and masserie, Rome’s big hotels and castles, Lake Garda and the larger Lake Como venues such as Villa Erba. Many villas are beautiful but small, or have strict limits on guests and music.
Yes. Add the transfer and at least one extra night for the team. A Venice or Rome pre-wedding shoot pairs easily with a lake or Tuscany wedding by train.
It depends on how many people need hair and makeup on the busiest morning. Two artists suit a bride plus a few family members; a large bridal party usually needs three to five. We size the team from your function list.
Tejaswini does not do trials. A studio cannot reproduce your outfit, jewellery, venue light or wedding-day skin, so instead she holds two detailed planning conversations, a third when needed, and reviews your real styling before deciding each look.
Yes, if it is built for it. Summer weddings in the south get a lighter, sweat-resistant base, long-wear eye products and a setting routine planned around outdoor time. Each region page explains the specific conditions.
Usually, with permission. Many venues allow a small, contained havan kund, and the baraat often arrives by boat on the lakes and in Venice. Your planner confirms what each venue and town allows.
Always. We share the getting-ready schedule with your planner and agree timings with the photographer so portraits happen while the makeup is at its freshest.
Message on WhatsApp with your dates, region or venue, the list of functions and how many people need makeup. You receive an itemised quote with travel costs shown separately.
