Destination weddings · Türkiye
Bosphorus palaces, Mediterranean resorts, Aegean bays and the balloon valleys of Cappadocia. Tejaswini’s team flies from Pune for the whole wedding week, so the bride who trialled her looks in India walks into her pheras in Turkey with the same hands on her face.
The short answer
Tejaswini is an Indian bridal makeup artist based in Pune. For a wedding in Turkey her team flies out, arrives ahead of the first function and stays until the last. The artist fee is quoted separately from the team’s flights, Turkish visas and rooms, which the family pays directly or reimburses at cost.
Most Indian weddings in Turkey happen in four places: Istanbul for palace and ballroom weddings, Antalya for large all-inclusive resort weddings, Bodrum for smaller Aegean celebrations, and Cappadocia for dawn portraits and very intimate ceremonies. Each has its own page below, plus a separate guide to every major five-star hotel.
Who you are booking
Tejaswini has been doing Indian bridal makeup since 2012. Fourteen years and more than a thousand brides later, she still leads every bridal look herself, from her studio and academy in Baner, Pune, to weddings across India and brides who fly in from abroad to book her.
She came to makeup from an IT engineering degree at Pune University, and it shows in how she works: everything is planned, written down and timed. Her style is the opposite of heavy: skin that still looks like skin, definition where the camera needs it, and a bride who looks like herself in every photograph, not like a different person at each function.
For a Turkey wedding, that means the same artist who planned your looks with you in the months before is the one holding the brush on the morning of your pheras.
Choose your Turkey
The question is rarely “Turkey or not”. It is which Turkey: a city of palaces, a coast of mega-resorts, a peninsula of boutique bays, or a volcanic plateau at dawn.
Ottoman palaces and pasha mansions on the European shore, ballrooms for 800 or more and the easiest flights from India.
Istanbul guideLara, Belek and Kemer: the resorts that made Turkey a byword for 500-guest Indian weddings.
Antalya guideWhite villages, yacht marinas and smaller luxury hotels for guest lists closer to 100–250.
Bodrum guideFairy chimneys and cave suites for pre-wedding shoots, elopement-sized ceremonies and post-wedding portraits.
Cappadocia guideSide by side
| Istanbul | Antalya | Bodrum | Cappadocia | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arrival airport | Istanbul (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) | Antalya (AYT) | Milas–Bodrum (BJV) | Nevşehir Kapadokya (NAV) or Kayseri (ASR) |
| Typical guest scale | 150–800+ in hotel ballrooms and palace terraces | 250–600+, often a full resort buyout | 50–300 across villas and boutique resorts | Couple and family; under 50 is usual |
| Wedding style | Urban, formal, architectural | Three-day resort celebration | Relaxed, sea-facing, design-led | Portraits, sunrise, small ceremony |
| Main makeup challenge | Ballroom flash plus waterfront wind | Heat, humidity and long outdoor days | Afternoon sea breeze and strong white light | Cold, dry dawns and a very early start |
| Flights from India | Direct from Delhi and Mumbai | Connect via Istanbul | Connect via Istanbul | Connect via Istanbul; about 75 minutes onward |
Many families combine two: a Bosphorus wedding followed by two nights in Cappadocia for portraits, or a Belek resort wedding with a pre-wedding shoot in the balloon valleys. The team can move with you, as long as the internal flights and an extra night are in the plan.
Calendar
A general guide across the four destinations. Each city page has its own month-by-month notes.
April, May, September and October are the reliable months: warm days on the Mediterranean and Aegean, comfortable evenings in Istanbul and clear balloon mornings in Cappadocia. July and August are peak beach season and still popular for resort weddings in Antalya, but daytime functions outdoors need shade and a sweat-resistant base. Winter suits Istanbul ballroom weddings and snowy Cappadocia portraits rather than beach events.

Turkey bookings are quoted in two clearly separated parts, so nothing is hidden inside a single number.
Visas and paperwork
Indian passport holders need a visa for Turkey; there is no visa on arrival. Travellers who already hold a valid visa or residence permit for the Schengen area, the UK, the USA or Ireland can usually apply for a Turkish e-visa online, which is a single-entry visa for up to 30 days. Everyone else applies for a sticker visa through the Turkish mission’s visa centre in India, which takes longer and needs an appointment.
No hotel confirmation, no visa application. Rooms for the team are the first thing we ask for.
For a sticker visa the team normally needs a confirmed return ticket, hotel confirmation for the full stay and a short letter from the family or planner describing the event and dates. We send you the exact list for each person as soon as the booking is confirmed, and we ask for room confirmations early, because the visa application cannot start without them.
Visa rules change, so we re-check them for every booking rather than relying on what applied last season. The rule we never bend: the team lands at least a full day before the first function, so a delayed connection in Istanbul never becomes a bride waiting in her robe.

Questions
Yes. Tejaswini’s team travels from Pune for weddings in Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum and Cappadocia, covering bridal makeup, hair and draping for every function, plus family and bridal-party makeup.
No. The studio is in India and the team flies in for your dates. We do not hand bookings to local stand-ins working under our name.
The family. These costs are listed separately from the artist fee and paid at cost, either booked by you or your planner, or reimbursed against receipts.
Yes, Indian passport holders need a visa. Team members holding a valid Schengen, UK, US or Irish visa can usually use the Turkish e-visa; others need a sticker visa through the visa centre in India, which needs more lead time.
For peak-season destination dates, 12 to 18 months ahead, which matches the lead time the resorts themselves need. The team’s visa process can also take several weeks once rooms are confirmed.
Antalya’s resorts in Lara and Belek are the usual choice for 400 guests or more, because one property can house everyone and host every function. Istanbul is the alternative when you want a city and palace setting with large ballrooms.
Yes. Add the internal flight and at least one extra night for the team. Balloon-morning shoots start well before sunrise, so we plan the Cappadocia day separately from the wedding schedule.
It depends on how many people need hair and makeup on the busiest morning. Two artists suit a bride plus a few family members; a large bridal party usually needs three to five. We size the team from your function list, not from a fixed package.
Tejaswini does not do trials. A studio cannot reproduce your outfit, jewellery, venue light or wedding-day skin, so instead she holds two detailed planning conversations, a third when needed, and reviews your real styling before deciding each look.
Yes, if it is built for it. Coastal summer weddings get a lighter, sweat-resistant base, long-wear eye products and a setting routine planned around outdoor time. Each city page explains the specific conditions.
Always. We share the getting-ready schedule with your planner and agree timings with the photographer so portraits happen while the makeup is at its freshest.
