Indian Bridal Makeup Artist in Morocco

Indian weddings in Morocco have become one of the most talked-about destination choices for families in the UK and in India: palace hotels, rose-pink walls, olive groves, desert sangeets under lanterns. Tejaswini and her team fly from Pune for the whole wedding week, so the bride looks like herself at every function — from a sunlit mehndi to a reception that runs past midnight.

  • Lehenga, saree & dupatta draping

Pune, IndiaTravelling to Morocco for your dates
Tejaswini at work: bare skin to finished bride.
The team that travels with her.

Please read first

Our team is based in India. We travel to Morocco for your wedding.

Tejaswini’s studio is in Pune, India. There is no Morocco office and no local artist working under our name. For your wedding in Morocco, the same artists who planned your looks fly out from India, land at least two clear days before the first function and stay until the last one.

Because the team travels internationally, three things are always arranged and paid for by the client: return flights for each team member, their Morocco visa arrangements, and accommodation in Morocco. They sit on separate lines of the quote, so you always see exactly what is artist fee and what is travel. Below is exactly how a Morocco booking runs, step by step.

Step 1 · The wedding

Your looks, planned before we fly

  • Video consultation for every function: outfits, jewellery and references.
  • A written look-plan for mehndi, sangeet, wedding and reception.
  • Final bridal-party numbers confirmed about 60 days out — this sets the team size.
  • A trial after arrival is subject to availability, schedule and fees; agree it in the quotation.
Step 2 · Travel

Flights for the team

  • Team: Tejaswini plus hair and extra artists as your numbers need.
  • We send names, passport details and suggested timings; the client books and pays return flights.
  • Compare current routes to Marrakech, including transit requirements and checked-baggage allowances.
  • Please allow checked baggage — the kit travels with the team.
Step 3 · Visas

Morocco visa arrangements

  • Check each team member’s passport, visa eligibility and permissions for the planned professional services before booking travel.
  • The client covers agreed visa costs. The application route and responsibilities are confirmed in the written booking.
  • Confirm the required documents with the official visa portal or Moroccan consulate; application and border-entry requirements differ.
  • Start permission and visa checks early, allowing time for additional documents or a consular application.
Step 4 · Stay

Hotel and on-ground

  • Rooms for the team at or close to the bride’s getting-ready hotel.
  • Twin-sharing is fine; what matters is being close to the bride for early starts.
  • Airport and venue transfers arranged with your planner or hotel.
  • A quiet room or corner near the bride’s suite for the kit.

Included in our fee

  • Bridal makeup and hairstyling for each booked function
  • Saree, lehenga and dupatta draping; jewellery setting
  • Family and bridal-party makeup, per person as quoted
  • All professional products and kit
  • Look planning, video consultations and touch-up support as agreed in the quotation

Arranged and paid by the client

  • Return flights from India for every team member
  • Applicable visa and permission costs for the team
  • Accommodation in Morocco for the full stay
  • Airport and local transfers between venues
  • Any excess baggage charges for the kit

Before travel is booked, confirm the team’s entry route and any permissions needed for paid bridal services with the Moroccan consulate and your planner. A guest’s tourist entry route should not be assumed to cover a working vendor. Check current eligibility on Accès Maroc. Trials and touch-up attendance must be listed in your quotation.

Why Morocco

Why Indian families are choosing Morocco for the wedding.

Morocco offers palace and garden venues, with flight options from the UK and connecting routes from India. These are the reasons couples give us when they enquire.

Three and a half hours from the UKDirect flights reach Marrakech from London and other UK airports in roughly three and a half hours, so UK-based families can fly most guests in for a long weekend without anyone losing a week to travel.
Connecting routes from IndiaCompare current connecting itineraries from your departure city to Marrakech (RAK). Total travel time, transit permissions and baggage handling vary by airline and connection.
Palaces built for a wedding weekMarrakech’s best hotels have courtyards, gardens, canals and ballrooms in one estate — mehndi by the pool, sangeet in the garden and the pheras at golden hour, without moving the family between venues.
A look that already belongs thereRose-pink walls, ochre earth, zellige tiles and brass lanterns are an extraordinary backdrop for red, gold, ivory and jewel-toned outfits. The colours of an Indian trousseau make sense here.
The desert as a sangeet venueThe Agafay desert is under an hour from the city. Lantern-lit camps and Berber tents have become a favourite for sangeet and welcome nights.
Different from Dubai, Bali and ThailandFor couples who have already been guests at a Dubai or Thailand wedding, Morocco feels new — older, more textured and more personal.

Luxury hotels

Where Indian weddings happen in Marrakech.

Ten of the palace hotels and resorts that Indian families most often shortlist. Each has its own page: what the property is like, where each function could sit, and how bridal getting-ready works there.

Our best bridal work

The brides you can judge us by.

Every face here is a bride Tejaswini personally styled in India. For a Moroccan palace wedding, look for two things: whether the skin still reads as skin in strong daylight, and whether the bride still looks like herself by the reception.

On video

See the work move before you fly us out.

Photos and videos can both be edited. Use the portfolio and reels together to compare texture, colour and movement, and discuss your preferred finish during a consultation. Watch the skin texture and how the look holds in natural light — that is what a Marrakech courtyard will show.

Four looks, no repeats

Four different functions on one bride, each reading differently on camera — the way a Morocco wedding week should.

Soft feminine glam

The light, romantic register most UK-based brides ask for.

The classic bridal red

Traditional red for the pheras, built to hold under strong sun and evening flash.

The studio experience

What working with Tejaswini actually feels like, from consultation to final pin.

Makeup in Morocco

Desert air changes how bridal makeup behaves.

Marrakech typically has dry conditions and strong daylight, with seasonal differences between daytime and evening temperatures. Coastal destinations elsewhere in Morocco can feel different. That changes product choice, prep and timing.

Golden hour — bridal makeup by Tejaswini
Golden hour — a Tejaswini bride.
Hydration before coverageDry air pulls moisture from skin and makes foundation sit on flaky patches. Prep starts with layered hydration, and bases are kept thin and flexible rather than heavily powdered.
Strong sun, then flashAn outdoor mehndi or a golden-hour phera means bright direct sun; the reception means flash in a darker room. Products are chosen to avoid both shine at noon and white cast under flash at night.
Warm days, cold nightsIn spring, autumn and winter the temperature can fall sharply after sunset, and lower still in the desert. Lips and skin are prepared for the evening, not only the afternoon.
Desert wind and dustA sangeet in the Agafay desert means wind. Hair is secured for movement, lashes are set properly, and a touch-up kit travels to the camp.
Lantern light flatters — and foolsBrass lanterns and candlelight in riads are warm and low. The base is checked in neutral light first, so it does not turn orange in photographs.
No hammam scrub before the weddingThe traditional hammam scrub is wonderful, but strong exfoliation in the last two or three days can leave skin sensitive under makeup. Book it earlier in the week.

When to marry

Choosing your Morocco wedding season.

Season decides more than the weather — it decides which looks work outdoors, how long base makeup has to hold and what the guests can comfortably wear.

Planning guide — scroll sideways on smaller screens
MonthsWhat Marrakech is likeFor an Indian wedding
March – MayWarm, bright days; cool eveningsThe favourite window. Outdoor mehndi and garden pheras work well.
June – AugustVery hot; afternoons can pass 40°CIndoor or evening-only functions. Hardest on makeup and guests.
September – NovemberHot in September, settling to mild by NovemberThe second favourite window, especially October and November.
December – FebruaryMild sunny days; cold nights, colder in the desertWorks with heaters and shawls. Daytime ceremonies preferred.

General guidance only. Check the venue’s own advice and the exact Ramadan dates for your year before fixing a date.

Planning essentials

The practical things that shape a Morocco wedding.

Not makeup, but every one of them changes the bride’s schedule, so they belong on this page.

Civil registration and ceremonial celebrationsA wedding celebration and legal registration are separate arrangements. Confirm eligibility and documents with the appropriate registrar, Moroccan marriage office or consulate before deciding where to register.
Ask early about the havan and pherasEvery hotel has its own rules on open flame, smoke and fire for the agni. Ask your planner how the venue handles it before you lock the ceremony space.
Ramadan and the clockMorocco changes its clock during Ramadan and some services slow down. If your date falls near it, confirm venue and supplier hours in writing.
Guests’ visasIndian passport holders generally need a visa. Check individual e-visa eligibility on the official Accès Maroc portal, including passport and residence-document requirements, and share the link early.
Currency and paymentsThe Moroccan dirham is the local currency. Hotels quote in euros or dirhams; our artist fee is quoted to you directly in rupees or pounds.
Mehndi artistsMorocco has a deep henna culture of its own. Decide early whether you want a local henna artist doing Indian patterns or a mehndi artist flown from India.

How it works from India

Five steps from enquiry to the final look.

Each step is confirmed in writing before the next one starts. Nothing about a Morocco booking depends on a phone promise.

📍01

Your dates, hotel and functions

Send the dates, the hotel, the list of functions and the likely number of people who need hair and makeup. Availability is confirmed after reviewing your dates.

📄02

An itemised quote

Artist fee per function and per person, with flights, visa arrangements and accommodation shown as separate client-paid lines.

🎥03

Looks planned on video

Outfits, jewellery and references for every function are gone through on video call, so each look is agreed before anyone flies.

✈04

Visas, flights and arrival

Travel is booked after visa eligibility, professional permissions and accommodation arrangements are checked. The team lands at least two days before the first function.

💄05

The whole week, one team

Mehndi to reception with the same hands and the same kit, so the looks build across the week instead of restarting each morning.

Fair questions

What families ask before flying a makeup artist from India.

Asked plainly, answered plainly.

“Why fly a team from India when Marrakech has makeup artists?”A reasonable question for anyone paying for extra flights.
Because Indian bridal is its own craftDraping a lehenga dupatta with a heavy maang tikka, setting a base under kundan, and planning five looks that build across a week are specialist skills. Compare any shortlisted artist’s experience with your ceremony, draping and jewellery requirements, alongside the portfolio and practical booking plan.
“What if the flight is delayed?”The obvious risk with any team that is not already in the country.
Two clear days of buffer, minimumThe team arrives at least two days before the first function, never the night before. Flight numbers are shared with you in writing once booked.
“Have you worked in Morocco before?”It deserves a straight answer.
Not yet — and we say soMorocco is a new destination for the studio. Judge us on the portfolio, the reels and the plan. If another artist suits you better, book them.

Questions

Everything families ask about Indian bridal makeup in Morocco.

16 answers. If yours is missing, send it on WhatsApp — it is usually answered the same day, allowing for the time difference.

Do you do Indian bridal makeup for weddings in Morocco?

Yes. Tejaswini and her team travel from Pune, India to Morocco for Indian weddings — Marrakech, the Agafay desert, the Atlas foothills and beyond. The booking covers bridal makeup, hairstyling and saree, lehenga and dupatta draping for every function, plus the bride’s family and bridal party if needed.

Is the team based in Morocco?

No. The studio is based in Pune, India, and every Morocco wedding is handled by flying the team out for your dates. We do not keep a local team in Marrakech and we do not subcontract to local artists under our name.

Who pays for flights, visas and hotel rooms?

The client. Return flights for the team, applicable visa and permission costs for the team and accommodation in Morocco (ideally at or close to the getting-ready venue) are paid by the client. They sit on their own lines in the quote, separate from the artist fee.

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Morocco?

Indian passport holders generally need a visa. India is listed in the official e-visa eligibility guidance for ordinary passports, but passport type, validity and the purpose of the trip matter. Check current requirements on the official Accès Maroc portal or with the Moroccan consulate. A working makeup team must confirm its own permissions separately from wedding guests.

Our family lives in the UK. Does that change anything?

Usually it makes Morocco easier — there are direct flights from London and several other UK airports, roughly three and a half hours to Marrakech, and British passport holders do not currently need a visa for short stays. Family members still on Indian passports, even if they live in the UK, should check whether they need the e-visa.

Has Tejaswini done a wedding in Morocco before?

Not yet, and we would rather say so plainly. Morocco enquiries began this year from Indian families in the UK and in India. What carries over is fourteen years of Indian bridal work and the destination system used for weddings in Udaipur, Jaipur and Goa: one wedding per trip, early arrival, kit packed within airline and security rules and every function planned against the others.

Which Moroccan hotels host Indian weddings?

Most large Indian weddings in Morocco are in Marrakech, at palace hotels and resorts such as The Oberoi, Royal Mansour, La Mamounia, Amanjena, Fairmont Royal Palm, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Selman, Palais Namaskar and Es Saadi. Each has its own page here with what to expect for bridal getting-ready at that property.

What is the best time of year for an Indian wedding in Morocco?

March to May and late September to November. Days are warm rather than hot and evenings are cool enough for outdoor functions. December to February works with planning, but nights get cold, especially in the desert. June to August is very hot in Marrakech and best avoided for daytime outdoor functions.

Does Ramadan affect a wedding date?

It can. During Ramadan some venues and suppliers run reduced hours and the country changes its clock by an hour. Ramadan follows the lunar calendar — roughly February to March in 2027 and late January to February in 2028 — so check the exact dates before fixing the wedding.

Can we legally get married in Morocco?

Eligibility depends on nationality, personal circumstances and Moroccan requirements. A ceremonial wedding does not itself establish legal registration. Ask the appropriate registrar, Moroccan marriage office or consulate which route applies to you; registration in India or the UK may be an option.

How does dry desert air change bridal makeup?

Marrakech can be dry and bright, with seasonal differences between daytime and evening temperatures. Dry conditions can emphasise flaky skin or lips. Plan hydration, suitable sunscreen, shade and touch-ups around your skin and event schedule; coastal destinations elsewhere in Morocco can feel different.

Will you do mehndi as well?

No — the booking covers makeup, hair and draping. Morocco has its own strong henna tradition and some Marrakech henna artists offer Indian bridal patterns; many families also fly a mehndi artist from India. We will coordinate timings so the mehndi is dry and set well before the sangeet look.

Can you cover the mothers, sisters and bridesmaids?

Yes. Tell us the likely maximum number of people at enquiry. It decides how many artists travel and therefore how many flights, visas and rooms are needed, so it matters more for a Morocco wedding than for one at home.

How far ahead should we book?

Ideally nine to twelve months, and at least three months before the wedding so flights and visas can be arranged without rushing. The best Marrakech hotels book up early for spring and autumn weekends.

What does it cost?

It is quoted individually: an artist fee per function and per person, plus the client-paid travel lines (flights, visas, accommodation). Send your dates, venue and function list on WhatsApp or email for an itemised written quote.

Do you travel elsewhere in Morocco?

Yes. Marrakech is where most Indian weddings happen, but the same model works for the Agafay desert, the Atlas foothills, Essaouira, Fes or Tangier. Travel time inside Morocco is added to the plan, not squeezed into the wedding morning.
