Indian Bridal Makeup for a Royal Mansour Wedding

Royal Mansour is not a hotel in the ordinary sense. It is a small walled city of 53 private riads inside the medina, conceived by King Mohammed VI and crafted by more than a thousand Moroccan artisans. A wedding here is intimate by design — and every detail of the bride shows. Tejaswini’s team travels from India to make sure it holds up.

Based in India, travelling to Royal Mansour.

Tejaswini’s studio is in Pune, India. There is no Morocco office and no local artist working under our name. For your wedding at Royal Mansour, the same artists who planned your looks fly out from India, land at least two clear days before the first function and stay until the last one.

Because the team travels internationally, three things are always arranged and paid for by the client: return flights for each team member, their Morocco visa arrangements, and accommodation in Morocco. They sit on separate lines of the quote, so you always see exactly what is artist fee and what is travel. Below is exactly how a Morocco booking runs, step by step.

Step 1 · The wedding

Your looks, planned before we fly

  • Video consultation for every function: outfits, jewellery and references.
  • A written look-plan for mehndi, sangeet, wedding and reception.
  • Final bridal-party numbers confirmed about 60 days out — this sets the team size.
  • A trial after arrival is subject to availability, schedule and fees; agree it in the quotation.
Step 2 · Travel

Flights for the team

  • Team: Tejaswini plus hair and extra artists as your numbers need.
  • We send names, passport details and suggested timings; the client books and pays return flights.
  • Compare current routes to Marrakech, including transit requirements and checked-baggage allowances.
  • Please allow checked baggage — the kit travels with the team.
Step 3 · Visas

Morocco visa arrangements

  • Check each team member’s passport, visa eligibility and permissions for the planned professional services before booking travel.
  • The client covers agreed visa costs. The application route and responsibilities are confirmed in the written booking.
  • Confirm the required documents with the official visa portal or Moroccan consulate; application and border-entry requirements differ.
  • Start permission and visa checks early, allowing time for additional documents or a consular application.
Step 4 · Stay

Hotel and on-ground

  • Rooms for the team at Royal Mansour or within a few minutes of it.
  • Twin-sharing is fine; what matters is being close to the bride for early starts.
  • Airport and venue transfers arranged with your planner or hotel.
  • A quiet room or corner near the bride’s suite for the kit.

Included in our fee

  • Bridal makeup and hairstyling for each booked function
  • Saree, lehenga and dupatta draping; jewellery setting
  • Family and bridal-party makeup, per person as quoted
  • All professional products and kit
  • Look planning, video consultations and touch-up support as agreed in the quotation

Arranged and paid by the client

  • Return flights from India for every team member
  • Applicable visa and permission costs for the team
  • Accommodation in Morocco for the full stay
  • Airport and local transfers between venues
  • Any excess baggage charges for the kit

Before travel is booked, confirm the team’s entry route and any permissions needed for paid bridal services with the Moroccan consulate and your planner. A guest’s tourist entry route should not be assumed to cover a working vendor. Check current eligibility on Accès Maroc. Trials and touch-up attendance must be listed in your quotation.

Scenes from around Marrakech, for atmosphere. These are not photographs of Royal Mansour.

Each guest stays in a riad of their own — a house of one to four bedrooms around a courtyard, with a roof terrace and plunge pool. Service runs through roughly a kilometre of underground passageways, so staff appear and disappear without crossing the gardens. The effect is of a private palace rather than a hotel.

The decoration is the point: carved cedar, stucco, zellige, tadelakt and marquetry, all made by hand. The gardens were designed by the Spanish landscape architect Luis Vallejo, and the restaurants include La Grande Table Marocaine, the Italian Sesamo and La Grande Brasserie. The spa covers about 2,500 square metres and includes a hair salon and heated pool.

For Indian weddings, Royal Mansour suits a smaller, very private celebration rather than a five-hundred-guest gathering. Confirm the guest count and layout for each function with the hotel rather than treating a general estimate as a maximum. In return, everything around the bride is extraordinary — and so is the scrutiny on her makeup, because there is nowhere for anything to hide.

Venue details checked against available official information in October 2026. Confirm event capacities, accommodation, vendor access, ceremony fire permissions, music curfews and a weather alternative in your venue contract. View the hotel’s official information. The photographs and bridal work shown here do not document a Tejaswini wedding at this hotel.

Getting-ready logistics

Running the bride’s day inside the medina.

The medina is beautiful and slow. Plan for both.

Royal Mansour sits inside the old city, close to Jemaa el-Fna. Medina traffic is unpredictable, especially in the evenings, so the team should stay either at the palace or very close by. We ask for that when you confirm accommodation for the team’s e-visa applications.

The bride’s riad is her getting-ready suite: a courtyard for photographs, a bedroom for hair and makeup, and a roof terrace for the first look. Daylight is good but comes from above, so the makeup station is set near a window or under the open courtyard in the morning, not in a dark interior room.

With a smaller guest list, family makeup is usually lighter — the mothers and a sister or two. Tell us the number at enquiry so we know whether one artist travels with Tejaswini or two.

Fair questions

What couples ask about Royal Mansour.

Raised plainly, because they are reasonable.

“Our wedding is small. Is a team from India worth it?”It is a fair question when the guest list is under a hundred.
Small weddings are photographed closerFewer guests means more close portraits. The finish has to look like skin from a metre away, which is exactly what Tejaswini’s work is built on.
“Can the team work inside a palace with strict access?”Security and privacy are part of why couples choose Royal Mansour.
Names and timings agreed in advanceWe share the team’s details and arrival times with your planner ahead of the wedding, so access is arranged rather than negotiated at the gate.

Questions

Indian bridal makeup at Royal Mansour Marrakech.

9 answers specific to Royal Mansour Marrakech. Anything else, ask on WhatsApp.

Can you do Indian bridal makeup at Royal Mansour Marrakech?

Yes. Tejaswini’s India-based team flies to Marrakech for the wedding and works in the bride’s riad for every function. Flights, visa arrangements and accommodation for the team are paid by the client.

How many guests suit a Royal Mansour wedding?

It is an intimate venue. Ask Royal Mansour for a proposal for your guest count, event space and seating arrangement. Confirm accommodation inventory and event capacity separately.

Where does the bride get ready?

In her own riad. Each has a courtyard, bedrooms and a roof terrace, so hair, makeup and the first look can all happen privately.

Does the light in a riad affect makeup?

Yes. Light comes from the open courtyard above, which deepens shadows. We place correction and highlight for overhead light and do the makeup near the brightest natural source.

Is there a hair salon at Royal Mansour?

The spa includes a hair salon. For an Indian bridal look — hair, maang tikka, dupatta setting — Tejaswini’s team handles hair as part of the booking.

Should the team stay at Royal Mansour?

At or very near it. The medina is slow by car, and early starts leave no margin for traffic.

Do we need to arrange access for the makeup team?

Yes — share the team’s names and arrival times with your planner so the palace can arrange access in advance.

Have you worked at Royal Mansour before?

No. Morocco is new for the studio, and we would rather say so. The portfolio and reels here are the work to judge.

How do we book?

Send the date, functions and number of people needing hair and makeup. You receive an itemised quote, with flights, visas and accommodation shown as client-paid lines.
