Big-resort myths
What families worry about at a 700-room resort.
The worryOur bride will be lost in the crowd on the wedding morning.
How we handle itWe ask for a bridal suite away from the main family floors and a separate family makeup room, so the bride’s space stays quiet.
The worryWith so many guests, the makeup team will run late.
How we handle itWe plan staggered start times from your list and size the team for the busiest morning, not the average one.
The worryAn all-inclusive resort will not care about the bride’s schedule.
How we handle itYour planner and the resort’s events team share timings with us; we work back from each function’s start.
The worryThe beach will be too hot for bridal makeup.
How we handle itOutdoor functions are best at sunset in summer. We use a humidity-proof base and waterproof eyes.

Beach and pools
Where the main functions usually go.
Rixos Premium Belek has a private sandy beach facing the sea and, across the road, the Gloria golf courses. Its five pools are split into activity, family and adults-only sections, which helps a wedding planner keep the bride’s spaces separate from the busiest family areas.
Beach ceremonies here are best at sunset in summer and in the afternoon in spring and autumn. Pool-deck mehendis need shade and fans; we check the bride’s base every hour during a long henna session.
With 60 pool suites in the gardens, a pool suite is a good choice for the bride: private outdoor space for first portraits and enough room for the outfit, jewellery and two artists.

Tejaswini
Tejaswini and large guest lists
Over fourteen years Tejaswini has learnt that a big wedding fails on timing, not technique. Her schedules start from the bride’s ready-by time and work backwards through every family member, agreed in writing before the team flies. At a 700-room resort, that discipline is what keeps the bride on time.
