Uçhisar · A restored monastic village
Fifty-one rooms cut into the western slope of Uçhisar’s rock castle, restored cave by cave over three decades, with an old olive-oil press now used for private dinners.
Argos in brief
The Bezirhane
The Bezirhane, restored from the settlement’s original olive-oil press, is the hotel’s signature private-dining space: vaulted stone, candlelight and a sense of age you cannot fake. For an intimate wedding, it is the obvious setting for the main dinner.
Candlelit stone is warm and low. We build a little more definition into the evening look and choose a lip that reads in dim light, while keeping the skin soft for close-up photographs.
By day, the Seki terrace looks over Pigeon Valley and the balloon launch area, and the estate’s vineyard produces its own Cappadocian wines.

Two settings, two looks

Fresh, luminous skin and a soft eye for cool morning light.

Deeper eyes and a richer lip for candlelit stone.
Restored, not rebuilt
Argos is the work of a family who spent more than thirty years restoring a monastic village on the slope below Uçhisar castle, keeping original stonework, cistern systems and fragments of Byzantine frescoes. No two rooms are alike; the largest suite is built around an old cistern used as a plunge pool.
That individuality matters when choosing the bridal room. Some cave rooms are dim, others open onto terraces with valley light. We ask to see photos of the rooms on your booking, then choose the one with the best natural light for the bride, bringing lamps for the rest.
The underground passages and courtyards make atmospheric settings for portraits, especially in the soft light after sunrise.
A two-day plan
Balloon portraits from the Seki terrace.
A family dinner in the Bezirhane.
A short ceremony in a courtyard.
Rest, then a vineyard lunch.
