Barbaros Bay is built down a hillside to a sheltered bay, with stone terraces, a marina-style stone area and a private beach at the bottom. That terracing gives the photographer layers of sea and stone to work with, and it means the bride will walk down a fair few steps.
We plan the outfit and footwear for that walk, keep the lehenga lifted on the steps and settle it at the bottom before the bride is seen. A buggy can help for part of the route; the hotel will advise.
The bay is sheltered compared with the open coast, which helps on breezy days, though the meltemi can still reach the beach in summer afternoons.
