Haldi by the pool, sangeet in the ballroom
A light, waterproof look for haldi, then a full glam change for a sangeet that runs late.
Antalya · Turkish Riviera
Antalya is where Turkey became famous for Indian weddings: whole resorts booked for three days, a sangeet in the ballroom, pheras on the beach and five hundred guests who never need a car. Tejaswini’s team flies from India to look after the bride and the family through all of it.

The Indian wedding coast
Turkish press has followed the trend for years. In May 2023, Daily Sabah reported 23 Indian weddings in Antalya that year so far, with 40–50 expected, each usually running three days with hundreds of guests flown in from India, the UK and the Gulf.

The artist behind the brush
A resort wedding in Belek or Lara is a marathon: haldi, mehendi, sangeet, cocktail, pheras and reception, often with dozens of relatives wanting makeup. Tejaswini has spent fourteen years and more than a thousand brides learning how to pace exactly that kind of week, first in Pune and Mumbai and then at destination weddings across India.
Her approach is planning-first. Instead of a trial in a studio that cannot copy Mediterranean sun or ballroom flash, she holds two detailed planning conversations with the bride, a third when the schedule needs it, and reviews the real outfits, jewellery and venue photos. Each function is then planned against the next, so the haldi does not compromise the skin for the sangeet.
On the ground, her team handles the family while she stays with the bride. Start times, the order of people in the chair and the walk to each venue are agreed in writing before the first day.
How Antalya works
The appeal is logistics. Belek and Lara resorts have hundreds of rooms, ballrooms, lawns, beaches and kitchens that can cook for an Indian wedding, all inside one gate. Guests check in on day one and leave on day four. The bridal team does the same, which is why we ask for rooms on site: on a three-day wedding there may be two separate makeup sessions every day.
The coast falls into three areas. Lara and Kundu, just east of the city, are closest to the airport and home to Mardan Palace. Belek, about half an hour from the airport, is a strip of large golf and beach resorts including Regnum Carya, Maxx Royal, Rixos Premium, Cornelia, Gloria and Kempinski. Kemer and Beldibi lie south-west under the Taurus mountains, where Rixos Sungate sits between peaks and sea.
What Antalya asks of makeup is stamina. Days are long, there is a lot of time outdoors and the Mediterranean is humid. A base that looks perfect at 10am needs to look the same at 5pm, after a haldi by the pool and a lunch on the lawn.
Month by month
April–May and October–early November are the sweet spots: warm sea, comfortable evenings and outdoor ceremonies that do not need fans. June and September are popular and hotter. July and August regularly pass 35°C; weddings still happen, but outdoor functions move to early morning or after sunset, and the bride’s base is built for sweat. Winter is mild and quiet; some resorts close parts of the property.
The classic three days
A light, waterproof look for haldi, then a full glam change for a sangeet that runs late.
Fresh skin and a soft eye; hair kept off the shoulders for a long henna session.
A contemporary look: sculpted base, statement eye or lip, sleek hair.
Traditional bridal look built for sea air, then a reception refresh.
Resort guides
Each guide covers the resort’s scale, where the bride gets ready and how the setting shapes the looks.

Built for the Mediterranean
A hydrating, non-greasy prep and a primer chosen for humidity, not just for glow.
Two thin layers set lightly, instead of one heavy layer that slides in heat.
Waterproof liner, mascara and lash glue as standard for every outdoor function.
Sea air flattens curls; we use more grip and pins and fewer loose face-framing pieces.
We ask planners for a shaded spot near the mandap for quick blotting.
One artist follows the bride for the first hour of each outdoor function.
Team size

Questions
Yes. Tejaswini’s team flies from India for Antalya weddings in Belek, Lara and Kemer and covers the bride, the family and the bridal party for every function.
Mardan Palace, Regnum Carya, Rixos Premium Belek and Maxx Royal Belek are among the resorts most associated with large Indian weddings. Each has its own guide on this site.
Lara is closer to the airport and the city; Belek has more resorts with golf, long beaches and large lawns. The choice usually comes down to the resort, not the area.
With the right products and timing, yes. We use humidity-friendly prep, thin long-wear layers and waterproof eyes, and ask for outdoor functions early or late in the day.
Inside the wedding resort. On a three-day wedding there are often two makeup sessions a day, so the team must be on site.
Usually yes. Most routes from India to Antalya connect through Istanbul or a Gulf hub; we arrive a day before the first function.
The family pays flights, visas and rooms at cost. These appear separately from the artist fee in the quote.
Yes, as a separate session. Tell us the location and time so we can plan the look and the travel from the resort.
It depends on how many people need makeup on the busiest morning. As a guide, two artists for a bride plus four, and up to five or more for very large families.
Generally yes for weddings, though some ask for vendor details in advance. Your planner usually registers the team with the resort.
