The Bodrum style
A peninsula of bays, not a strip of resorts.
Bodrum is a peninsula with a different bay around every headland. The town itself, with its castle and marina, sits on the south coast. Gümbet and Bitez are close by; Yalıkavak and its superyacht marina are to the west; Türkbükü, Gündoğan and Torba line the north coast. Further away, beyond the airport, are the remote resorts of the Milas coast such as Six Senses Kaplankaya.
Luxury hotels here are smaller than in Antalya, often with under 150 rooms, so Indian weddings in Bodrum tend to be 80 to 300 guests, sometimes spread over a hotel and nearby villas. The upside is intimacy and design: fewer guests, more beautiful settings and a relaxed rhythm.
The makeup challenge is the wind. In high summer the meltemi, a strong, dry north wind, can blow for days across the Aegean, often strongest in the afternoon. A bride on a cliff-top terrace at 5pm in August needs a very different hairstyle from one in a ballroom.
About Tejaswini

Bodrum’s weddings are smaller, more design-led and photographed in bright, honest sunlight. That plays to Tejaswini’s strengths. Over fourteen years and more than a thousand brides she has become known for soft, polished bridal makeup: a sheer, well-prepped base, real skin texture and definition only where it counts.
She trained as an IT engineer before turning to makeup, and runs her studio like a project: two planning conversations before the wedding, a look plan for every function, a written schedule for every morning. At her academy in Baner she teaches the same discipline to small batches of six to eight students.
Her destination weddings so far have taken her across India, and brides have flown in from abroad, including from Dubai, to be styled by her. For a Bodrum wedding the team travels from India, arrives early and stays close to the bride.

In Bodrum, transfers matter more than elsewhere in Turkey. If the mehendi is at a villa in Yalıkavak and the wedding at a hotel on the north coast, the team needs a car or boat booked, not a taxi hoped for.

Do you provide Indian bridal makeup in Bodrum?
Yes. Tejaswini’s team flies from India for Bodrum weddings and covers the bride, family and bridal party at every function.
What is the best month for a Bodrum Indian wedding?
Late May, June, September and early October are usually the best balance of warm weather and calmer winds. July and August are hotter, busier and windier.
How do you handle the Bodrum wind?
We plan structured hairstyles, pin the dupatta at more points, use waterproof eye products and schedule outdoor portraits for calmer parts of the day.
Can one Bodrum hotel host the whole wedding?
For 100 to 250 guests, often yes. Larger weddings sometimes combine a hotel with villas or use a resort with a large beach venue, such as Kempinski Barbaros Bay.
Do we fly into Bodrum directly from India?
Usually via Istanbul. The airport is Milas–Bodrum (BJV), on the mainland east of the peninsula.
Who pays the team’s travel?
The family pays flights, visas, rooms and local transfers at cost. They are listed separately from the artist fee.
Can you do makeup on a boat or gulet?
Yes, with planning. We get the bride ready on land and send an artist aboard for touch-ups if the trip is long.
How many artists do you send for a Bodrum wedding?
Usually two or three, as Bodrum weddings are smaller. We confirm once we see the makeup list per day.
