A little history
Palazzo Pisani Moretta was built in the second half of the 15th century for the Pisani family, with a façade of pointed Gothic windows on the Grand Canal. In the 18th century its interiors were redecorated with frescoes and stucco, and they survive almost untouched.
It is still privately owned and used for balls, dinners and private celebrations, with guests arriving by boat at its water gate. Its main hall, lit by candles and Murano chandeliers, is one of the most atmospheric rooms in Venice.
For makeup, candlelight is beautiful but unforgiving. We add warmth and definition, avoid a flat matte base and plan a quick touch-up after the boat arrival.

The wedding day
We ask for a room with good window light and a second room close by for family makeup, so the bride’s room stays calm.
Family looks run in parallel with the bridal skin prep, timed so nobody waits in the corridor.
Hydration, primer and a base built for candlelight and Murano chandeliers.
Maang tikka, nath and dupatta set with the outfit on, checked from every angle the photographer will use.
First photographs while the makeup is at its freshest, before the busiest part of the day.
The baraat arrives by boat at the water gate; an artist travels with the bride and checks her at the landing.
New lip, refreshed eyes and a second hairstyle if planned; allow 60–75 minutes.

Function by function

Lagoon light from every side. A dewy, lightweight base with SPF and hair pinned well clear of the neck.

A party on the water or in a palazzo salon. Shimmer kept to the lids, a set base and hair secured for a boat ride.

Reflected light off the water all afternoon. A satin finish, waterproof eye products and a dupatta pinned at several points.

Venetian glass and candlelight. A refreshed base, a deeper lip and a highlight that glows rather than glares.

Tejaswini
Tejaswini has styled more than a thousand Indian brides since 2012. For a candlelit palazzo she plans a warm, luminous base with stronger eye definition, a wind-proof hairstyle for the boat and a touch-up at the water gate.
