Questions brides ask before booking
How Tejaswini works, what a booking includes, why there is no trial, how the wedding morning is scheduled, and how booking and cancellation work. If your question is not here, ask her directly.

01
Before you book
Does Tejaswini do the bridal makeup herself?
Yes. Tejaswini is a bridal makeup artist and makeup educator with 14 years of experience, working from her studio in Baner, Pune. She has created more than 1,000 bridal looks across Marathi, Punjabi, Marwari, North and South Indian and Muslim weddings, and she personally leads every bridal booking accepted in her name. You can see the range of her work in the real bridal portfolio.
Where does Tejaswini travel for weddings?
She takes bridal bookings across Pune and Mumbai, and travels anywhere in India for destination weddings, subject to your date and the team’s availability. For destination bookings, travel and accommodation are agreed in writing before the day.
What does a bridal booking include?
Bridal makeup, hairstyling and saree, lehenga or dupatta draping are planned together as one complete look, around your features, outfit, jewellery, wedding tradition, venue light and ready-by time. Exactly what each package covers is listed on the bridal packages page. Makeup for family members can be arranged and is quoted separately.
How much does bridal makeup cost?
Current starting prices are published on the Pune and Mumbai packages page and the Mumbai packages page. The final quote depends on the number of functions and looks, the city and venue, travel, early starts and team requirements. Please reconfirm the current price in writing before paying any booking amount.
02
The look and the planning
Does Tejaswini offer a makeup trial?
Some brides value a makeup trial, and some artists build it into their process. Tejaswini uses a different planning model. Because the actual outfit, jewellery, venue light, photography, skin condition and wedding-day setting are difficult to reproduce fully in a studio, she replaces the trial with detailed look-planning conversations and a review of your real styling elements.
What happens instead of a trial?
Each bride receives two planning conversations, with a third when the look or the schedule needs it. They happen in person or on a video call, whichever suits you. You are asked to bring your outfit and jewellery to one of them, so the hairstyle, draping and jewellery placement are decided against the actual pieces rather than a description.
By the last conversation the plan is written down — base finish, eye and lip direction, hairstyle reference, saree or dupatta draping plan, jewellery placement, skin and allergy notes, ready-by time and team schedule — so nothing is left to decide while you are in the chair.
How early should I get in touch?
For brides who enquire early, planning can begin up to six months before the wedding. Tejaswini can discuss makeup preparation, hydration habits and how different skin conditions may affect the finish, and she will give honest input on outfit, colour, jewellery and drape before you commit to a purchase.
Active acne, pigmentation, allergies or medical skin concerns should be assessed by a qualified dermatologist. She does not prescribe medical treatments.
HD or airbrush — which is better?
Both are used to achieve different finishes, and both are good. The better choice depends on your skin on the day, the venue light and how the look is being photographed, so it is usually best decided by the artist. Bridal pricing is the same for HD and airbrush.
Which makeup brands does Tejaswini use?
Bridal makeup is built with luxury beauty houses alongside professional artist brands, chosen for how they wear through a long wedding day and how they read on camera rather than for the label.

If you have a known sensitivity or allergy, tell Tejaswini during the planning conversations so it can be noted in your look plan.
Will I still look like myself?
That is the intention. The brief is built around your features, your comfort and your wedding tradition rather than a template, and the aim is to enhance rather than cover. You can read more about how she works on the about page.
03
On the wedding day
How long does bridal makeup, hair and draping take?
Plan roughly 2 to 2.5 hours for a complete bridal look including the drape. Elaborate hairstyling, traditional Nauvari or Paithani draping, layered jewellery, photographer access and room logistics may need more time. It helps to build the schedule backwards from when portraits or the bridal entry begin.
What time will the team arrive?
Every booking is planned backwards from your ready-by time. Local travel, venue access, setup and early-morning reporting are given a practical buffer so the team is scheduled to arrive before the agreed start time. You will have a team contact before the function.
Who comes with Tejaswini on the day?
Tejaswini leads the makeup personally. Supporting team members — such as a hairstylist, a saree or drape specialist, and a content creator — are assigned according to the confirmed package and look requirements, and are set out in your written quote.
Can you do makeup for family members too?
Yes. Makeup for family members can be arranged alongside the bridal booking and is quoted separately. We also offer groom makeup: subtle, camera-ready skin correction and grooming that still looks natural in person. Please mention the groom and the number of family members when you enquire, so the right artists and a realistic timeline can be planned. See the bridal packages or contact the studio for a written quote.

Do you offer makeup for engagement, reception, haldi and sangeet?
Yes. Tejaswini creates distinct looks for every function, from fresh daytime haldi makeup to soft glam or a more defined reception look. Browse engagement and reception looks and haldi, mehendi and sangeet inspiration.
Can Tejaswini plan looks for different wedding traditions?
Yes. Her work includes Marathi and Maharashtrian, Punjabi, Marwari, North and South Indian, and Muslim weddings. The look is planned around your actual outfit, jewellery and family traditions rather than copied from a template. See the real bridal portfolio.

Booking, payment and changes
How do I book a date?
Share your wedding date, city or venue, the functions you need covered and your ready-by time. Once the details and quote are agreed, a booking advance confirms the date and you receive a payment receipt by email. The studio then follows up to schedule your first planning conversation. Please confirm the current advance amount in writing at the time of booking.
What are the cancellation terms?
If the booking is cancelled by the client for any reason, the advance already paid is forfeited. If Tejaswini Makeup Artist cancels the booking, 100% of the costs already paid are refunded.
In the unlikely event that Tejaswini cannot attend due to a personal emergency or serious illness, she will try to arrange an alternative artist she recommends, and brief them on your look, requirements and everything agreed in your planning conversations. Please confirm the current terms in writing at the time of booking.
Do you provide facials, mehendi or other pre-bridal treatments?
Tejaswini Makeup Artist focuses on bridal makeup and hairstyling, so facials, other pre-bridal skin treatments and mehendi are not offered here. Bridal nails, nail art, gel overlays and extensions are available through Holy Nails — Tejaswini’s own nail salon brand, founded and owned exclusively by her. Explore the Holy Nails website, browse its bridal nail services, or see @holynailspune on Instagram.
