Real brides, real work

No two faces on this page look alike.

Every image here is a bride Tejaswini personally styled - no stock photography, no repurposed portfolios. Look past the jewellery at the base, the hairline and whether the bride still looks like herself under the makeup.

In motion

See it move before you book it.

A photograph can be retouched into agreement. Video is harder to argue with - so here is unedited footage rather than another claim on a page.

The classic bridal red

Red, gold and kundan under ballroom lighting - the look most Bangkok receptions are photographed in.

Four looks, no repeats

How a multi-function wedding is sequenced so mehendi, sangeet, the wedding day and the reception each read differently on camera.

Bare skin to finished bride

The full sitting, uncut - useful if you want to see how long a wedding-day look actually takes.

Fourteen years, condensed

A quick run through the range of traditions and skin tones she has worked across, not just one style repeated.

Why fly her to Bangkok

Bangkok has thousands of makeup artists. Almost none plan for six looks in four days.

A city this size has no shortage of talented artists used to Thai and Western bridal work - glamorous, camera-ready, and built for one wedding day. An Indian wedding is a different brief entirely: mehendi through reception, four or five distinct looks, and a base that has to survive the jump from air-conditioned ballroom to humid riverside terrace and back again.

The whole career is Indian bridalFourteen years of Punjabi, Sikh, North Indian, Marwari and Hindu bridal work - not general bridal that occasionally takes an Indian client. A dupatta pinned for a baraat and a maang tikka set level under a veil are routine, not researched on the day.
She trains other artists, for a livingTejaswini Makeup Studio & Academy in Baner, Pune has run since 2018 across forty teaching batches. The person doing your face also teaches the craft, which is a different level of scrutiny on her own technique.
One artist, both jobsMakeup and hair are planned together as a single look rather than handed to two people who never spoke. On a trip that already involves flights and a hotel, it is also one fewer vendor for your planner to coordinate.
The person you see is the person you getNo hand-off to a junior artist on the day - the portfolio and the wedding morning are the same pair of hands. Worth stating outright, because it is not always how larger studios work.
Her kit doesn’t depend on Bangkok stockHD and airbrush products selected for Indian skin tones travel with her - YSL Beauty, Dior, Chanel, Armani beauty and Prada Beauty, alongside Make Up For Ever, Bobbi Brown, Huda Beauty, Fenty Beauty and NARS. Nothing is substituted for whatever the hotel spa happens to carry.
Destination scheduling is not new to herGoa, Udaipur, Jaipur and multi-day celebrations across India, plus overseas clients including a bride who booked her from Dubai. Building a makeup schedule around flights and transfers is routine.
Costs shown as line itemsArtist fee, flights, hotel and travel days are quoted separately from the start, so a Bangkok booking is priced in parts you can actually check, not one bundled figure.

Pricing

Published rates, no guessing before you write in.

The same artist-fee rate card applies wherever Tejaswini travels, Bangkok included - published in USD so you can scope a wedding here without a back-and-forth just to find out the starting number. Flights, hotel and travel days are quoted separately once your dates are confirmed.

Bride

$600 Per look - makeup, hairstyling and drape. Several functions are quoted per look, not per day

Groom

$240 Grooming styled to sit alongside the bride's look rather than as an afterthought

Family member

$300 Each - mother of the bride, sisters, bridesmaids. Extra artists brought in where headcount needs it

These are starting artist-fee figures - approximate USD equivalents of the published INR rate. Bangkok's shorter, cheaper flight routes from India often keep the travel line lower here than at the island destinations; the exact number still depends on your functions and headcount, confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Venues

Bangkok trades beaches for ballrooms and river views.

There is no single wedding zone here the way Kata or Bang Tao anchor Phuket - big Indian weddings in Bangkok mostly happen inside five-star hotels built for exactly this, along the Chao Phraya river or in the business district. Ask each property what indoor capacity and getting-ready rooms they actually have; it varies more than the marketing photos suggest.

Because most of these are indoor or covered spaces, catering and ballroom hire in Bangkok generally undercuts the villa-estate pricing on the islands - useful if your guest count is large and the budget has to stretch further. Typical guest range in Bangkok: 100 - 500+, since hotel ballrooms scale in a way beach venues cannot. Marrying somewhere not listed here? Send the property - it is almost certainly workable.

The part nobody explains

Bangkok's real problem is contrast, not humidity alone.

Phuket and Samui punish makeup with constant humidity. Bangkok does something different - it swings a bride between freezing hotel air-conditioning, a humid outdoor terrace, and a flash-lit ballroom, often inside the same afternoon. Almost nobody plans makeup around that swing specifically.

AC-to-outdoor temperature swingsMoving from a chilled ballroom to a humid riverside terrace for photos and back again makes a base crack or shine unevenly if it was only built for one environment. The base is set to hold across both, not just the one you're standing in when it's applied.
Flash and stage lighting indoorsBallroom weddings are shot under artificial light far more than natural daylight. Contour and highlight that read naturally outdoors can look chalky or too sharp under a photographer's flash, so placement is adjusted for indoor light specifically.
March to June heat and humidityBangkok's hot season runs hotter than the coastal islands in the same months. For any outdoor portion - a garden ceremony, a pre-wedding shoot at a temple - the base still needs the humidity-resistant treatment used on a beach wedding.
July to October rain, not humidityBangkok's rainy season means short, heavy downpours rather than Phuket's sustained wet-season humidity. The bigger risk is a rushed dash between an outdoor shoot location and the car, not the makeup itself sliding over hours.

Indoor bridal work from her portfolio - the base still has to survive the walk outside for photos.

Every function

A Bangkok wedding is rarely just the wedding day.

Most couples booking a Bangkok hotel run three to five functions across the stay - mehendi, sangeet, the wedding day and a reception, sometimes with a separate engagement dinner. Each has to photograph differently under the venue's own lighting while still looking like the same bride.

Mehendi makeup look by Tejaswini for an Indian wedding
MehendiFresh and light for long seated hours, planned around whichever room the hotel assigns - some are bright function rooms, some are dim private lounges, and the look needs to hold in either.
Haldi makeup look by Tejaswini for an Indian wedding
HaldiMinimal, skin-first and waterproof where turmeric will touch it - a rarer function at Bangkok hotel weddings than at home, so it is usually scheduled as a smaller, private morning event.
Sangeet makeup look by Tejaswini for an Indian wedding
SangeetStronger definition for stage and dance-floor lighting, since most Bangkok sangeets happen in a hotel ballroom with a proper stage rather than an open lawn.
Wedding day makeup look by Tejaswini for an Indian wedding
Wedding dayThe complete bridal look, timed backwards from your ready-by moment and cross-checked against whatever lighting the ceremony room actually has, not the brochure photo of it.
Reception makeup look by Tejaswini for an Indian wedding
ReceptionA deliberately different second look for the ballroom's evening light, so the wedding album shows two distinct bridal moments rather than one look photographed twice.
Engagement makeup look by Tejaswini for an Indian wedding
Engagement dinnerOften held the evening the family arrives, before jet lag and the schedule catch up - usually the first look booked and the one that sets the tone for the rest of the trip.

Mother of the bride, sisters and bridesmaids are scheduled around your ready-by time, with additional artists brought in for larger Bangkok guest lists.

Timing

Bangkok is the one Thai destination that isn't weather-locked.

Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) between them take direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad - more direct Indian routes than any other city on this site, which is why Bangkok is often the cheapest of the four to fly guests into.

WindowWhat to expect
November - FebruaryBangkok's coolest, driest stretch and the most comfortable for any outdoor portion of the day - a garden ceremony, a temple photo session. Hotel ballrooms still book out well ahead for this window.
March - JuneHot season, often hotter than the coast. Entirely workable since most of the wedding runs indoors, but outdoor segments need the same humidity-planning as a beach wedding.
July - OctoberRainy season - short, heavy downpours rather than constant humidity. Indoor ballroom weddings are barely affected; anything outdoors needs a fast covered backup.
Book the ballroom firstPopular hotels release wedding dates on their own calendar, often 9 to 12 months out for the busiest weekends - shorter lead time than the peak-season villa estates on the islands, but still worth locking early.
Indoor weddings are less date-sensitiveBecause most of a Bangkok wedding happens under cover, couples have more flexibility on exact dates than an island beach ceremony that depends on a dry sunset.
She still arrives a day earlySame policy everywhere she travels - a buffer day before the first function so a delayed flight never becomes your wedding morning's problem.
Traffic, not distance, is the local riskBangkok's hotels are close together on a map but can be an hour apart in rush-hour traffic. If functions are split across venues, build transfer time around traffic patterns, not straight-line distance.
Temple visits need their own slotA pre-wedding shoot at Wat Arun or the Grand Palace is common and worth it, but temple dress codes and crowds mean it needs a dedicated early-morning slot, not a squeeze between two functions.
Combine-city weddings are common hereSeveral couples split the celebration - ceremony in Bangkok, reception on an island, or the reverse. If that's the plan, tell us early so both makeup schedules are planned as one trip, not two separate bookings.

How it works

Booking a city hotel wedding still needs it all in writing.

A hotel wedding can feel more "organised" than a villa estate because there's a dedicated events team - but that team works for the hotel, not for your makeup schedule. Every stage below is confirmed directly with Tejaswini in writing, separately from whatever the hotel coordinates.

📅01

Dates and hotel confirmed

Share your dates, the hotel, and every function on the schedule, plus how many family members need hair and makeup. Availability is usually confirmed within a day.

📄02

💬03

Look consultation

Outfits by function, real jewellery, references you like, and honestly, ones that don't suit your skin tone. Whether each function is indoors or has an outdoor portion changes the plan here.

🎥04

Video look confirmation

No in-person trial before a destination wedding - the look is agreed over video against your real outfit and jewellery, then confirmed again in person in Bangkok before the first function.

05

Skin preparation

A plan for the weeks before departure - what to start, what to stop, and what not to try for the first time right before you fly.

The wedding week

She lands a day ahead, checks the getting-ready room and its lighting, confirms the running order with your planner and photographer, and covers every function through to the reception.

Being honest about it

What couples actually worry about with a city hotel wedding.

A hotel wedding brings its own specific anxieties, different from a villa on an island. Here they are, plainly, with what is actually done about each.

“The hotel's own vendor list includes a makeup artist - why fly one in?”Hotels often push their preferred vendor list, and the artist on it may genuinely be excellent at Thai or Western bridal work.
Ask what they've actually done, not what they say they can doAsk for real examples of Indian bridal work, not a portfolio with one Indian wedding mixed into forty Western ones. If the honest answer is none, you've learned what you needed to before booking, not after.
“We're combining two cities - will the looks even match?”A common Bangkok pattern: ceremony here, reception on an island, or the reverse. Coordinating that with two separate local artists is a real risk to consistency.
One artist across both cities, one planWhen the whole trip is booked together, the look is planned once and carried across every city on the itinerary, so the bride in the ceremony photos and the bride in the reception photos are recognisably the same person.
“My makeup will look flat under the ballroom's flash photography.”A real and specific worry for indoor hotel weddings - lighting that looks warm to the eye can photograph very differently under a flash.
Planned against the room's actual lightingWhere possible, the look is checked against sample shots in similar lighting, and contour and highlight are placed for how flash reads them, not just how they look standing at the mirror.
“Traffic will make her late, and then everything's late.”Bangkok traffic is unpredictable enough that even a short cross-city trip carries real risk on a tight morning.
She's based at your hotel, not commuting to itArriving a day ahead means she is on-site, not travelling across the city on the morning of your function - traffic outside becomes someone else's problem, not yours.
“I've never met her - what if the look isn't what we discussed?”The same fair concern every overseas bride raises, hotel wedding or otherwise.
Confirmed on video, then confirmed again in personThe look is agreed before any flight is booked, and checked again against your real outfit and jewellery once she lands - so the wedding morning isn't the first time it's been tested.
“The quote will grow once the hotel adds its own fees.”Hotels sometimes charge a vendor entry or set-up fee on top of everything else, which couples don't always see coming.
Ask the hotel directly, quoted to you in writing either wayTejaswini's fee, travel and stay are itemised regardless; any hotel-side vendor fee is a separate line you should ask the property about directly, so nothing arrives as a surprise from either side.

On the ground

Planning a wedding in Bangkok, practically

Bangkok runs differently to the islands - the logistics are less about weather and more about a very large, very busy city.

The biggest vendor city in Thailand, by farPhotographers, decorators, caterers and planners who work Indian weddings regularly are easiest to find here of anywhere in the country - several of the riverside hotels run dedicated wedding departments with their own event microsites. Indian-specific experience still varies property to property, so ask directly rather than assuming.
Traffic decides your schedule, not distanceTwo hotels ten kilometres apart on a map can be forty minutes or ninety depending on the hour. If functions are split across venues, plan transfers around Bangkok's rush hours, not the map.
The best-connected of the four Thailand destinationsSuvarnabhumi and Don Mueang between them carry direct flights from more Indian cities than Phuket, Koh Samui or Krabi manage - which usually means it is the easiest and cheapest city to fly a large guest list into.
Outfits and jewellery still travel with youBangkok does have tailoring and textile markets, but not an Indian bridal-wear market in the way Delhi or Mumbai do. Lehengas, real jewellery and backups still travel in your luggage.
A pre-wedding shoot at a temple needs planningWat Arun and the Grand Palace are popular backdrops for pre-wedding photos, but both have dress codes, entry queues and no shortage of other tourists in the frame. Book an early morning slot, not a walk-in.
Air quality can spike in the dry seasonBangkok occasionally sees poor air quality readings in the cooler months, which matters if you're planning long outdoor portions - worth a quick check of the forecast in the weeks before rather than assuming it will be clear.

Questions

Everything couples ask before a Bangkok booking.

Twenty-four of them, answered properly. If yours isn't here, message on WhatsApp - it's usually answered the same day.

Do you travel to Bangkok for Indian weddings?

Yes. Tejaswini flies in from her studio in Pune for Indian, Hindu, Punjabi and Sikh weddings in Bangkok, covering the full run of functions rather than the wedding day on its own. Travel and hotel stay are quoted separately and openly.

Have you worked weddings in Bangkok before?

Not yet in Thailand specifically. Her destination work so far covers Goa, Udaipur, Jaipur and other multi-day Indian celebrations, plus overseas clients including a bride who flew her out from Dubai. A Bangkok wedding would be booked on the same honest footing rather than an invented track record.

How far ahead should we book a Bangkok wedding?

Six months is the practical minimum. Popular hotels release their prime wedding dates on their own release calendar, often 9 to 12 months out for peak weekends between November and February - shorter notice than the island villa estates need, but still worth locking in early.

Do we get a trial before the wedding?

Not an in-person trial - that isn't something offered on any destination booking. The look is finalised over video against your actual outfit and jewellery before you travel, then checked again in person once she lands in Bangkok, ahead of the first function.

Will my makeup hold up in Bangkok's climate?

It depends more on indoor-outdoor contrast than raw humidity here. Most of a hotel wedding happens in air-conditioned ballrooms, so the base is built to survive the swing between chilled indoor air and a humid terrace for photos, not just one or the other.

Can you do makeup for the mother of the bride and other family members?

Yes - family and guest makeup is scheduled around your ready-by time, with extra artists brought in for larger Bangkok guest lists. Share the headcount when you enquire.

Do you do Punjabi, Sikh and North Indian bridal looks?

Yes - Punjabi, Sikh, North Indian, Marwari and Hindu bridal styling, plus engagement, mehendi, sangeet and reception looks, are all part of her regular work. Send your outfit and jewellery references, since every family styles these slightly differently.

What does it cost to fly you to Bangkok?

The artist fee is quoted per look or function; flights and hotel stay are itemised separately. Bangkok's shorter, more direct flight routes from India often make this the lowest travel cost of the four Thailand destinations - confirmed once your dates and venue are in.

Who covers flights and accommodation?

That is the couple's cost, shown openly in the written quote rather than folded into one number. If your hotel already blocks discounted rooms for wedding vendors, that usually brings the figure down.

Do you bring your own makeup products?

Yes - her full professional kit travels with her, including HD and airbrush products chosen for Indian skin tones, so nothing depends on what a hotel spa stocks.

How many functions can you cover in Bangkok?

As many as your wedding has. A typical Bangkok stay runs three to five functions - mehendi, sangeet, the wedding day and a reception, sometimes an engagement dinner - planned as one continuous sequence rather than separate bookings.

Do you do hair as well as makeup?

Yes, and by design - having one person plan both means the finished look is conceived as a single thing rather than assembled by two people who never spoke.

Can you drape a saree or lehenga dupatta for a ballroom wedding?

Yes, draping is included in the bridal package. Indoors, the pinning is planned for how it holds under ballroom lighting and movement on a dance floor, rather than for wind the way an island beach wedding needs.

Do you provide hair extensions or accessories?

Extensions and padding can be sourced and added to the quote - flag what your hairstyle needs at the consultation stage so it travels with the kit rather than being sourced last-minute in Bangkok.

When do you arrive before the wedding?

A full day ahead of the first function, minimum, written into the booking rather than offered as a courtesy - so a delayed flight is never something your wedding morning has to absorb.

Is a sunrise ceremony possible at a Bangkok hotel?

Less common here than on the islands, since most Bangkok weddings are evening ballroom events, but some couples do hold an early ceremony in a hotel garden. If yours is one of them, an early start is planned for at booking, not the night before.

Will you coordinate with our planner, photographer and the hotel's events team?

Yes. The running order is agreed with your planner and photographer directly - the hotel's events team manages the venue, but your makeup schedule is coordinated separately so nothing depends on their timeline alone.

How do payments and booking work?

The deposit amount and payment schedule are set out in the written quote before anything is confirmed. Any change to your plans gets a revised quote, not a surprise line item.

Do you use airbrush or HD makeup for ballroom weddings?

Both, chosen for how they read under a photographer's flash and ballroom lighting rather than sold as an upgrade - confirmed during the video consultation once we know the venue's lighting setup.

What skin preparation should I do before travelling to Bangkok?

A week-by-week plan is shared beforehand - what to start, what to hold off on, and specifically what not to try for the first time right before you fly. Most base problems trace back to something tried too close to the date.

Can you recreate a look from a photo I've saved?

Often, and she'll say plainly when she can't. A saved reference sometimes depends on a face shape, outfit or lighting that won't translate directly, so expect an honest answer on what will carry over and what should change.

What if our outfit or jewellery changes after the video consultation?

Tell us as soon as it does. A different outfit colour or heavier jewellery can shift the whole balance of a look, and it is far easier to adjust ahead of time than on the wedding morning.

Is Bangkok better than Phuket, Koh Samui or Krabi for an Indian wedding?

It depends what you want. Bangkok is the most affordable to fly guests into, the least weather-dependent because most weddings run indoors, and takes the largest guest counts. The island destinations trade that convenience for a beach or cliffside setting Bangkok simply doesn't have.

What are the best months for a wedding in Bangkok?

November to February for the most comfortable outdoor portions, though because most of a Bangkok wedding runs indoors, good dates are workable for most of the year outside the heaviest rain in September and October.
