The newest luxury wedding venue on the plateau. Kamat Hotels opened The Orchid Panchgani in September 2025 with 70 keys, and it is built for the kind of wedding people now ask for in the hills: tree-house suites, forest tents and wooden cottages instead of corridors of identical rooms, valley views, lawns and a banquet hall. It comes from the same group that runs Fort JadhavGADH near Pune.

What The Orchid Panchgani is like.
An eco-luxury resort in the Sahyadri hills at Godavali, Panchgani. Accommodation ranges from valley-view rooms to tree-house suites, forest tents and wooden cottage suites, with a pool, a spa, multi-cuisine dining and EV charging. The hotel markets indoor banquet space and outdoor lawns for weddings, with event management under one roof.

The hotel is new and has not yet published a capacity chart. Ask for seated and standing numbers for each space for your dates.
A buyout here makes a lot of sense. At around ₹15 lakh a day for the whole property on published figures, a 70-key resort becomes a private hillside estate for two or three days — no other guests, every room for your families, and the tree-house suites for the couple and the bridal party.

Tree-houses and tents are wonderful to stay in and need a little planning to get ready in.
- Choose the getting-ready room carefullyTree-house suites and forest tents are beautiful but can be compact or dim. We ask for the bride’s getting-ready space to be a larger suite with a big window, even if she sleeps elsewhere.
- Power and lightOur lamps, steamers and styling tools need reliable sockets. We check the getting-ready room the evening before and bring daylight lamps either way.
- Forest shadeLawns under trees give soft, flattering light but lose it early. Plan portraits in the late afternoon.
- A new hotel’s first seasonsThe Orchid Panchgani opened in late 2025. Its team is experienced from the group’s other properties; we share timelines early so everyone is working from the same plan.
