Marriott’s second Mahabaleshwar address sits at Metgutad, on the main road between Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar, which makes it one of the easiest luxury venues in the hills for guests to reach. The wedding offer is compact and well organised: one lawn, one large banquet hall and a pre-function space, with around ninety rooms that open onto private balconies. It is a strong choice for a mid-sized wedding that wants Marriott service without the sprawl.

What Courtyard Mahabaleshwar is like.
A newer, three-storey Courtyard by Marriott with a garden, an outdoor pool and a spa. Marriott describes its banquet hall as one of the largest in Mahabaleshwar. Dining runs through The Berry Library, the all-day restaurant, and the Quarter Deck sunset lounge — the latter a natural spot for a small sundowner.

Because the lawn and the hall sit side by side, Courtyard is one of the few venues in the hills where a rain or cold-weather backup costs you very little: plan the wedding on Karvi Lawn and hold Karvi Hall, and the decision can be made on the day.

- Balcony lightRooms open onto private balconies, which gives us good daylight for the base. We set up by the balcony door and check the look outside before the dupatta goes on.
- Hall lighting for the sangeetBanquet halls are lit warmer than daylight. If the sangeet is in Karvi Hall, we build a little more definition so the look holds under stage lights and flash.
- Plan for the room countAt around ninety rooms, larger families may overflow into nearby resorts on the same road. We stay close to the bride’s room either way.
