Rhythm’s idea is simple: every room is a suite. For a wedding that means families get a living area and kitchenette rather than a single room, which makes a three-day stay much easier — and the bride gets a getting-ready space that actually fits a makeup team. The resort was built around old trees that were kept, and its biggest lawn takes a very large guest list.

The layout is unusually good for a multi-function wedding: one very big lawn, one mid-sized lawn and a courtyard, so no function has to share a space with the next one’s set-up.

The resort is a short walk from Lonavala station and the Mapro Garden end of town, and close to the Expressway, which makes it one of the easiest places in Lonavala for guests arriving from both Pune and Mumbai.

- Room to workA suite with a separate sitting area means the bride, the photographer and our team are not on top of each other. Ask for one with good daylight, ideally a deck suite.
- Family looks in parallelWith a second suite as a family room, our team can run mothers and sisters alongside the bride and finish everyone together.
- Tree shade on the lawnsThe preserved trees make the lawns cooler and the light softer and patchier. We set the base to look even in dappled light and check it in the actual spot.
- Easy for a late arrival — still we stay overRhythm is close to the Expressway, but for a morning muhurat the team is on site the night before. Ghat traffic is not something to gamble on.

Rhythm quotes weddings as packages and we did not find a dependable published per-plate rate. The questions below cover the lines that change the total most.
- Suites, not roomsEvery key is a suite, so the per-night rate is higher than a standard room — but each one often houses a whole family. Compare per guest, not per key.
- Lawn hire and decorIs the lawn included with catering? Are outside decorators allowed, and is there a sound cut-off?
- Taxes and minimumsAsk for the all-in per-plate figure and the minimum guarantee for each function.
