Wedding makeup at The Leela Palace Jaipur

Built for large celebrations, The Leela sits in the Aravalli foothills near Amer with a huge ballroom and open lawns. Big guest lists mean long days in the getting-ready room, so the schedule matters as much as the look.

The setting

A modern palace on the old road to Amer.

The Leela Palace Jaipur opened in 2021 on the Delhi highway at Kukas, a few kilometres beyond Amber Fort. Unlike Rambagh or Jai Mahal it was built new, and that shows in the practical things: wide corridors, generous back-of-house space and a ballroom with no pillars to hide a stage or a photographer.

It is roughly an hour from Jaipur airport, depending on traffic through the city. For a wedding that means the whole party stays on site, and the beauty team should too.

The look of the place is pale stone, domes and water features against brown Aravalli hills. In winter the evenings turn cold quickly, which affects both outfits and how a base sits on the skin.

Worth knowing

Leela-specific planning notes.

Worth doing

  • Book an extra room near the bridal suite as a family makeup room
  • Ask the hotel for warm white rather than cold light in the getting-ready room
  • Plan a shawl or jacket look if the reception is outdoors in December or January
  • Share the ballroom stage colour; it changes the reception lip choice

Worth avoiding

  • A city hotel for the beauty team; the drive from central Jaipur eats into call times
  • Very dewy bases under ballroom stage lights
  • Starting the bride last because family members ran late
  • A reception look that copies the wedding look

The Leela Palace Jaipur questions

Makeup at The Leela Palace Jaipur.

Does Tejaswini cover weddings at The Leela Palace Jaipur?

She does. Once your date is confirmed she travels from Pune and works from your room at The Leela Palace Jaipur, with fares and stay billed separately.

How big is the ballroom?

The hotel lists the Vikram Aditya ballroom at about 10,900 sq ft without pillars, for roughly 800 at a reception. Your planner confirms the final layout.

Can you manage makeup for a large family?

Yes. Extra artists are added and scheduled in a separate room, priced per person, so the bride's slot is not affected.

How far is the hotel from the airport?

Around an hour by road depending on city traffic, which is why the beauty team should stay at the hotel.

What does bridal makeup cost?

From Rs 50,000 for a complete bridal look. Groom grooming is Rs 10,000.

Do you bring your own lighting?

Yes. Tejaswini travels with her own kit and lights, so the result does not depend on the room.
