Taj Aravali trades lake views for space: 27 acres in the hills west of the city, with lawns big enough for the whole extended family. Mountain air and open lawns change how a bride's makeup has to behave.

Why families choose it
Room for everyone, with the hills behind.
Taj Aravali opened in December 2018 at the foot of the Aravalli range, about fifteen minutes from Lake Pichola. It was designed as a contemporary Rajasthani resort spread across terraces, with rooms, suites and tents on several levels.
Its appeal for weddings is scale. With 176 rooms and several lawns, most of the guest list can stay on site, and functions can move between lawns without anyone leaving the property.
The hills bring cooler mornings and evenings than the city. In winter the temperature drops sharply after sunset, which affects both comfort and how skin behaves under makeup.

Taj Aravali tips.
Worth doing
Plan the pheras before the evening temperature drops
Use the terraces for portraits with the hills behind
Book family artists for large guest lists
Hydrate skin well the week before
Worth avoiding
Matte, dry bases in cool, dry air
Outdoor functions late at night without a wrap
Staying in town and commuting for early calls
The same look for the sangeet and the reception
