City Palace complex · Udaipur
Two palace hotels stand inside Udaipur's City Palace complex: Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, managed by Taj since 2020, and Shiv Niwas Palace, run by the Mewar family's HRH Group. A wedding here can move from a chandelier-lit Durbar Hall to an open courtyard to a lake terrace in one evening, and the bride's look has to work in all of them.

Good to know first
Tejaswini is based in Pune. For a City Palace wedding she stays in Udaipur's old city through your functions and does the bride personally. Getting her to Udaipur and back, plus a room near the venue, is billed at actual cost.
The palace venues
Fateh Prakash spaces are booked through Taj and Shiv Niwas through the HRH Group; availability and capacities are confirmed for your dates.

History
The City Palace has been built up over centuries by the Maharanas of Mewar on the eastern shore of Lake Pichola. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries Maharana Fateh Singh added the buildings that are now the two hotels: Shiv Niwas, a royal guest palace curved around a courtyard pool, and Fateh Prakash, which faces the lake.
The Durbar Hall in Fateh Prakash, whose foundation stone was laid in 1909, is hung with chandeliers and royal portraits, with a gallery of crystal above. Since 2020 Fateh Prakash has been managed by Taj as Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, while Shiv Niwas next door remains with the family's HRH Group.
Because the complex is so large, weddings can use several settings in a single night. That is wonderful for photographs and demanding for makeup, because candle-lit halls and floodlit courtyards ask for different things.
Looks for a royal setting

Open courtyard, white walls and water. Soft, fresh base and a light lip.

Floodlights and stone. A strong eye and a long-wear base.

Chandeliers and gilded frames. Rich, traditional colour so the bride stands out against the décor.

Night air and lake views. A cooler palette and a sleek hairstyle.
