Indian Bridal Makeup Artist for an Amanjena Wedding

Amanjena is quiet luxury in rose-pink earth: Aman’s first resort in Africa, designed around a reflecting basin inspired by traditional Moroccan architecture with pavilions, olive groves and a Caidal tent. It hosted a widely reported Indian-origin wedding in March 2024. Tejaswini’s team flies from India for brides who want that calm, considered elegance in their makeup too.

We travel from India to Amanjena.

Tejaswini’s studio is in Pune, India. There is no Morocco office and no local artist working under our name. For your wedding at Amanjena, the same artists who planned your looks fly out from India, land at least two clear days before the first function and stay until the last one.

Because the team travels internationally, three things are always arranged and paid for by the client: return flights for each team member, their Morocco visa arrangements, and accommodation in Morocco. They sit on separate lines of the quote, so you always see exactly what is artist fee and what is travel. Below is exactly how a Morocco booking runs, step by step.

Step 1 · The wedding

Your looks, planned before we fly

  • Video consultation for every function: outfits, jewellery and references.
  • A written look-plan for mehndi, sangeet, wedding and reception.
  • Final bridal-party numbers confirmed about 60 days out — this sets the team size.
  • A trial after arrival is subject to availability, schedule and fees; agree it in the quotation.
Step 2 · Travel

Flights for the team

  • Team: Tejaswini plus hair and extra artists as your numbers need.
  • We send names, passport details and suggested timings; the client books and pays return flights.
  • Compare current routes to Marrakech, including transit requirements and checked-baggage allowances.
  • Please allow checked baggage — the kit travels with the team.
Step 3 · Visas

Morocco visa arrangements

  • Check each team member’s passport, visa eligibility and permissions for the planned professional services before booking travel.
  • The client covers agreed visa costs. The application route and responsibilities are confirmed in the written booking.
  • Confirm the required documents with the official visa portal or Moroccan consulate; application and border-entry requirements differ.
  • Start permission and visa checks early, allowing time for additional documents or a consular application.
Step 4 · Stay

Hotel and on-ground

  • Rooms for the team at Amanjena or within a few minutes of it.
  • Twin-sharing is fine; what matters is being close to the bride for early starts.
  • Airport and venue transfers arranged with your planner or hotel.
  • A quiet room or corner near the bride’s suite for the kit.

Included in our fee

  • Bridal makeup and hairstyling for each booked function
  • Saree, lehenga and dupatta draping; jewellery setting
  • Family and bridal-party makeup, per person as quoted
  • All professional products and kit
  • Look planning, video consultations and touch-up support as agreed in the quotation

Arranged and paid by the client

  • Return flights from India for every team member
  • Applicable visa and permission costs for the team
  • Accommodation in Morocco for the full stay
  • Airport and local transfers between venues
  • Any excess baggage charges for the kit

Before travel is booked, confirm the team’s entry route and any permissions needed for paid bridal services with the Moroccan consulate and your planner. A guest’s tourist entry route should not be assumed to cover a working vendor. Check current eligibility on Accès Maroc. Trials and touch-up attendance must be listed in your quotation.

Scenes from around Marrakech, for atmosphere. These are not photographs of Amanjena.

The resort radiates from a large central bassin inspired by the 12th-century irrigation pool of the Menara Gardens. Rose-toned pavilions with domed ceilings, zellige floors and private courtyards sit around it, many with their own pools. The palette — dusty pink walls, palms, olive trees and still water — is one of the most photographed in Marrakech.

Aman’s current accommodation pages describe pavilions and private pool villas. Its official event guide lists the Water Bassin, Pool Terrace and Olive Grove for larger celebrations; the Caidal Tent is an intimate private-dining setting for up to 25 guests. Ask the resort for a proposal covering the guest count and layout for each function.

Amanjena’s place in Indian wedding conversations was confirmed in March 2024, when the Indian-origin businessman Rohan Oza and Shaheen Patel held a multi-day wedding there for around 250 guests, as reported in the Moroccan press. It suits families who want a guest list of a couple of hundred and a calm, design-led atmosphere rather than a showpiece palace.

Venue details checked against available official information in October 2026. Confirm event capacities, accommodation, vendor access, ceremony fire permissions, music curfews and a weather alternative in your venue contract. View the hotel’s official information. The photographs and bridal work shown here do not document a Tejaswini wedding at this hotel.

Understatement suits the settingAmanjena’s aesthetic is quiet. Many brides choose a softer, skin-first wedding look here and save drama for the evening.

The studio experience

How the getting-ready time with Tejaswini actually feels.

Getting-ready logistics

How the bride’s days run at Amanjena.

Small resort, long views, outside the city.

Amanjena is on the Route de Ouarzazate about twenty minutes from the airport, near the Amelkis golf course. Amanjena offers pavilions and private pool villas; confirm current inventory, room allocation and nearby accommodation with the resort. The bride and the makeup team should both stay on site.

A pavilion or maison with a private courtyard is the ideal getting-ready space. Inside, domed rooms can be dark, so the makeup station is set by the doors in morning light, and the final check happens outside before the bride walks to the ceremony.

With a guest list of a couple of hundred, family makeup can be substantial. Share the likely number early: it decides whether one or two artists travel with Tejaswini, and therefore how many flights, visa arrangements and rooms the client arranges.

Fair questions

What couples ask about Amanjena.

Raised plainly, because they are reasonable.

“We want a very natural look. Is that what you do?”Many Amanjena brides ask exactly this.
Skin-first is the studio’s directionSheer, settled bases with clean definition. The bride should look like herself, which also photographs best in Amanjena’s soft colour.
“The resort is small. Will the team get rooms?”Confirm the available accommodation and getting-ready space.
Nearby is fine if it is closeIf the resort is full, a hotel within a short drive works. We plan the early starts around whatever is confirmed.
