Indian Wedding Makeup Artist for The Oberoi, Marrakech

For many Indian families, The Oberoi is the obvious Marrakech choice: an Indian hospitality name, Ayurvedic treatments in the spa, and a 120-metre canal running towards the Atlas Mountains. Tejaswini’s team flies from Pune to look after the bride across every function, from a mehndi in the olive alleys to a reception on the canal.

  • Bridal makeup & hair for each function
  • Getting-ready in your villa

Please read first

We are an India-based team. We fly to The Oberoi for your wedding.

Tejaswini’s studio is in Pune, India. There is no Morocco office and no local artist working under our name. For your wedding at The Oberoi, Marrakech, the same artists who planned your looks fly out from India, land at least two clear days before the first function and stay until the last one.

Because the team travels internationally, three things are always arranged and paid for by the client: return flights for each team member, their Morocco visa arrangements, and accommodation in Morocco. They sit on separate lines of the quote, so you always see exactly what is artist fee and what is travel. Below is exactly how a Morocco booking runs, step by step.

Step 1 · The wedding

Your looks, planned before we fly

  • Video consultation for every function: outfits, jewellery and references.
  • A written look-plan for mehndi, sangeet, wedding and reception.
  • Final bridal-party numbers confirmed about 60 days out — this sets the team size.
  • A trial after arrival is subject to availability, schedule and fees; agree it in the quotation.
Step 2 · Travel

Flights for the team

  • Team: Tejaswini plus hair and extra artists as your numbers need.
  • We send names, passport details and suggested timings; the client books and pays return flights.
  • Compare current routes to Marrakech, including transit requirements and checked-baggage allowances.
  • Please allow checked baggage — the kit travels with the team.
Step 3 · Visas

Morocco visa arrangements

  • Check each team member’s passport, visa eligibility and permissions for the planned professional services before booking travel.
  • The client covers agreed visa costs. The application route and responsibilities are confirmed in the written booking.
  • Confirm the required documents with the official visa portal or Moroccan consulate; application and border-entry requirements differ.
  • Start permission and visa checks early, allowing time for additional documents or a consular application.
Step 4 · Stay

Hotel and on-ground

  • Rooms for the team at The Oberoi, Marrakech or within a few minutes of it.
  • Twin-sharing is fine; what matters is being close to the bride for early starts.
  • Airport and venue transfers arranged with your planner or hotel.
  • A quiet room or corner near the bride’s suite for the kit.

Included in our fee

  • Bridal makeup and hairstyling for each booked function
  • Saree, lehenga and dupatta draping; jewellery setting
  • Family and bridal-party makeup, per person as quoted
  • All professional products and kit
  • Look planning, video consultations and touch-up support as agreed in the quotation

Arranged and paid by the client

  • Return flights from India for every team member
  • Applicable visa and permission costs for the team
  • Accommodation in Morocco for the full stay
  • Airport and local transfers between venues
  • Any excess baggage charges for the kit

Before travel is booked, confirm the team’s entry route and any permissions needed for paid bridal services with the Moroccan consulate and your planner. Scenes from around Marrakech, for atmosphere. These are not photographs of The Oberoi, Marrakech.

The main courtyard takes its design from the 14th-century Medersa Ben Youssef, one of the most celebrated monuments in the Marrakech medina — carved cedar, stucco and a central pool of water. Around it, the rooms, suites and villas are spread through orchards, and most villas have their own pool and walled garden, which is exactly what a bride wants for a private getting-ready space.

For events the resort publishes several distinct settings: two olive-lined gardens, Les Jardins des Oliviers, each taking up to two hundred for a reception; The Patio overlooking the canal and the Grand Canal itself, each up to four hundred; and a chandeliered ballroom for a layout-dependent seated capacity. Dining runs from Siniman for Moroccan food to Tamimt and the poolside Azure, with the Vue bar for evening drinks.

The reason it shows up on so many Indian shortlists is familiarity. The Oberoi name is known to every Indian family, the spa offers Ayurvedic therapies alongside the hammam, and the scale of the grounds allows a full wedding week — three or four functions — without moving the family to a second venue.

Venue details checked against available official information in October 2026. Confirm event capacities, accommodation, vendor access, ceremony fire permissions, music curfews and a weather alternative in your venue contract. View the hotel’s official information. The photographs and bridal work shown here do not document a Tejaswini wedding at this hotel.

Rust and emerald — a Tejaswini bride.
Pale stone bounces strong lightSand-coloured stone and still water reflect midday sun onto the face. Highlighter is kept restrained so the bride does not look shiny in daytime photographs.
Villa pools mean a private suiteA villa with its own garden can be a useful getting-ready space: daylight, privacy and space for the bridal party. Ask for the bride’s villa to face away from the afternoon sun.
Schedule spa treatments earlyAyurvedic and hammam treatments are part of the appeal. Book facials and strong exfoliation with timing agreed with the spa for your skin and treatment.
Outside the city means planningAt around twenty-five minutes from the medina, the team should stay on site. Any off-site pre-wedding shoot needs travel time written into the day.

Getting-ready logistics

How the bride’s days run at The Oberoi.

Practical points that save the bride an hour on the wedding morning.

The best arrangement is simple: the bride gets ready in her own villa, and the team stays at the resort. The Oberoi is outside the city on the Route de Ouarzazate, roughly twenty-five minutes from the old city; a team staying in town would be adding a car journey to every early start. When you send accommodation details for the team’s visa arrangements, rooms on site are what we ask for first.

For a large bridal party, ask the hotel for a second room near the bride’s villa as a hair-and-makeup room for mothers, sisters and bridesmaids. That keeps the bride’s own villa calm for the final hour and stops the outfit, jewellery and photographer competing for space.

The estate is large. Build buggy or walking time from the villa to the canal, the gardens and the courtyard into the running order, and plan for a lehenga that cannot be hurried along gravel paths. We schedule from the ceremony time backwards and include those minutes in writing.

Fair questions

What families ask about The Oberoi.

Raised plainly, because they are reasonable.

“The Oberoi probably has its own salon. Why bring a team?”A fair question at any five-star hotel.
Indian bridal is a separate craftA hotel salon does excellent work for guests. A multi-day Indian bridal week — draping, maang tikka, five planned looks — is a specialism, and it is the only thing Tejaswini does.
“Does the team need rooms at the hotel?”It is a cost worth questioning.
On-site is safer, and we say whyThe resort is outside the city, starts are early and the estate is big. Rooms on site remove the one risk you cannot fix on the morning: a late arrival.

Questions

Indian wedding makeup at The Oberoi, Marrakech.

9 answers specific to The Oberoi, Marrakech. Anything else, ask on WhatsApp.

Do you provide Indian bridal makeup at The Oberoi, Marrakech?

Yes. Tejaswini’s team flies from Pune, India for weddings at The Oberoi and covers bridal makeup, hair and draping for every function, plus family and bridal-party makeup. Flights, Morocco visa arrangements and accommodation for the team are paid by the client.

Is the team based in Marrakech?

No. The team is based in India and travels for your dates. We do not use local stand-ins.

Where should the bride get ready at The Oberoi?

In her own villa if possible — most have a private garden and pool, good daylight and space for the bridal party. A second room nearby for family makeup keeps the bride’s space calm.

How big are The Oberoi’s event spaces?

The official hotel overview lists the Grand Canal and The Patio for reception layouts of up to 400 guests, and each olive garden for up to 200. These are not universal seated wedding capacities. Ask for a layout-specific proposal, including the ballroom, mandap and dance floor.

How far is The Oberoi from the Marrakech medina and airport?

The resort is on the Route de Ouarzazate, about twenty-five minutes from Jemaa el-Fna. Allow similar time from the airport depending on traffic.

Can we book Ayurvedic treatments before the wedding?

The hotel lists spa treatments, including Ayurvedic and Moroccan options. Discuss timing with the spa and avoid introducing unfamiliar treatments close to your wedding. Allow recovery time appropriate to the treatment and your skin rather than assuming a fixed three-day interval is enough.

Which look works for a reception on the Grand Canal?

A distinct evening look: deeper lip or eye, a change of drape and a base set for flash. Water and candles reflect light, so we avoid heavy shimmer on the skin.

Has Tejaswini worked at The Oberoi before?

Not yet. Morocco is a new destination for the studio. Judge the portfolio and reels here, and the written plan we send before any flights are booked.

How do we get a quote?

Send your dates, the functions and the number of people needing hair and makeup on WhatsApp or email. The quote shows the artist fee separately from the client-paid flights, visas and accommodation.
