For families who want palace architecture and a straightforward hotel for a few hundred guests, Taj Hari Mahal is Jodhpur's practical choice: big lawns, a terrace for receptions and rooms for most of the guest list.

What it offers
Palace style without palace logistics.
Taj Hari Mahal is a modern hotel built in a Rajasthani palace style, with courtyards, frescoes and domes. Unlike a heritage palace, its spaces were designed for events, so moving between lawn, hall and terrace is simple.
The Pali Lawn is its most requested outdoor venue for weddings of around 500 guests. The Meherangarh Hall opens directly onto the Meherangarh Terrace, so a reception can flow from inside to outside.
For brides, that flexibility helps: the getting-ready suite, the portraits and the functions are all a few minutes apart, which leaves more time for the look itself.
At Hari Mahal
Hari Mahal tips.
Worth doing
Use the hall and terrace together for the reception
Keep the family makeup room separate
Schedule portraits before the baraat
Share jewellery photos in advance
Worth avoiding
Shiny bases under strong lawn sun
The same hair for the pheras and the reception
Starting the bride late on a big day
Leaving touch-up kits in the room

Tejaswini has been a bridal artist since 2012. At Hari Mahal she plans the day around short distances between spaces, so more time goes into the look and less into getting from place to place.
