Desert weddings · the Golden City
A Jaisalmer wedding is a desert wedding: golden stone, wide skies, a wind that rises in the afternoon and nights that turn cold. Tejaswini comes from Pune with a plan for all of it, so the bride looks the same at the sunset pheras as she did at noon. Bridal looks start at ₹50,000 each, with travel and stay at cost.
Long journey, planned earlyJaisalmer is far from everywhere. Tejaswini travels from Pune ahead of your first function and stays until the last one ends.
▶See the finish in daylightThe desert problem
A base that works in a Mumbai ballroom can crack, flake or blow away in the Thar. These are the conditions Tejaswini plans around.
Humidity is low, so skin loses moisture fast. Hydration starts a week before, and products are chosen not to cling to dry patches.
Hair is set to be wind-proof and the dupatta is pinned before you step outside, especially for dune functions.
The touch-up kit stays sealed and close; brushes are kept covered between uses.
Sandstone and sunset add strong warmth. Tones are chosen so the skin does not look orange in photographs.
Winter evenings drop sharply. Looks are planned with shawls and jackets in mind.
Touch-up points are agreed in advance, not left to chance.
Jaisalmer venue guides
Three very different ways to marry in Jaisalmer, each with its own guide. Listings are for planning only and are not venue partnerships.

The Golden City
Jaisalmer grew around a 12th-century fort on Trikuta hill, built in yellow sandstone that turns gold in the evening. People still live inside its walls, and the old city below is full of carved havelis built by merchants on the caravan routes.
Most wedding venues sit outside the old city, on the road west to the Sam dunes, so functions can move from palace-style courtyards to a dinner among the sand in one evening.
Across a desert wedding
A starting plan, adjusted to your outfits and venue.
01Courtyard, midday
Bare, protected skin and waterproof lashes in the shade of the walls.
02Lawn, afternoon
A light base and hair tied away from the wind.
03Sunset, golden stone
A satin finish and a red that stays red in warm light.
04Dunes, after dark
Firelight, cold air and a warmer, deeper finish.

Logistics
Most of the risk at a remote wedding is travel. This is how it is handled.
Tejaswini reaches Jaisalmer the day before the first function, never on the morning of it.
The team stays at the venue or within minutes, so the drive to Sam never affects call times.
If flights are limited, travel is planned via Jodhpur with time to spare.
Extra artists travel with her if the family needs them, priced per person.
Other Rajasthan cities
Some families split the wedding between Jaisalmer and Jodhpur or Udaipur.
