Wedding makeup at Jaisalmer Marriott

The Marriott is Jaisalmer's large-wedding option: yellow sandstone buildings, water features, a ballroom and lawns, with some rooms facing the fort. It is close to town, which makes logistics simpler for big families.

Why it works

Close to town, room for everyone.

Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa is built in the same yellow stone as the city, around courtyards and pools. Some rooms look directly at Jaisalmer Fort, which glows gold at sunset.

With a ballroom, a Durbar Hall and several lawns, it can host large weddings that would not fit at a camp or boutique hotel. Being close to town also makes it easy for guests to visit the fort and havelis between functions.

Stone and water mean bright, reflected light by day; the desert means cold, dry evenings. Both shape how a bride's base is chosen.

In Jaisalmer

Marriott planning notes.

Worth doing

  • Book a fort-view room for the bride
  • Use the old city for a portrait session
  • Plan family artists for big guest lists
  • Prepare skin for dry desert air

Worth avoiding

  • Shiny bases near pools and water features
  • Outdoor evening functions without a warm layer
  • Starting family makeup in the bridal suite
  • One look for both the pheras and the reception

Watch

Bare skin to finished bride.
