Bridal Makeup Artist in Goa

More Indian destination weddings happen in Goa than anywhere else in the country: a sunset pheras on the sand, a haldi by the pool, a sangeet that runs into the night. Tejaswini travels from Pune for the whole wedding, from Vagator in the north to Canacona in the south, and builds every look to survive heat, humidity and sea breeze without looking heavy in photographs.

Why brides bring her to Goa

Goa has plenty of makeup artists. Few plan a whole Indian wedding week.

A Goa wedding is three or four days of functions in heat, humidity and sea breeze, from Vagator in the north to Canacona in the south. Families bring Tejaswini from Pune because she plans every look as one wedding, does the bride herself and builds bases that survive the beach, the lawn and the ballroom.

Indian bridal is all she doesFourteen years and more than a thousand brides, almost all Indian: Punjabi, Gujarati, Marwari, Maharashtrian and North Indian. The rituals of a Goa wedding are familiar ground.
Bases built for the Konkan coastGoa’s humidity, salt air and a 5 pm lawn ceremony are planned for at the prep stage, with thin long-wear layers instead of heavier coverage.
Face, hair and drape from one planMakeup, hairstyling and draping are designed together, so dupatta pinning for a windy beach lawn in Benaulim or Vagator is part of the look.
Every function, not just the pherasPool haldi, afternoon mehendi, ballroom sangeet, sunset pheras and a reception after the 10 pm music limit, each styled to look different in the album.
An easy trip from PuneGoa is about an hour’s flight or a day’s drive away, so the full kit, lights and extra artists travel without the limits of an overseas booking.
She does the bride herselfThe face in the portfolio is the hand on your wedding morning. Trained artists from her Pune team look after the family, quoted per person.
Studio and academy in BanerTejaswini runs her own studio and makeup academy in Pune, where working artists train. The standard is set by the person who teaches it.

Goa vs your makeup

What a Goa wedding does to a bridal look.

Goa is beautiful and hard on makeup in ways a city ballroom is not. These are the problems Tejaswini plans around before she packs a single brush.

Humidity, even in winterSea air keeps skin damp and makes heavy bases slide by the second hour.
Thin, set layersOil-control prep, long-wear base built in thin coats and set between layers, with blotting rather than more powder.
Sea breeze on the lawnOpen dupattas lift, loose waves drop and flyaways show in every close-up.
Hair and drape built for windHidden pinning for the dupatta, humidity-resistant setting for curls, and a sleeker option kept in reserve.
Golden hour is shortWinter sunset in Goa is a little after 6 pm and the warm light lasts minutes, not hours.
A sunset-first scheduleThe bride is camera-ready well before the light turns, with a touch-up slot between pheras and portraits.
Lawn, then air-conditioningSweat outdoors, then dry ballroom air indoors: skin flips between shiny and flat in one evening.
A finish that handles bothSatin rather than full matte or full dewy, and a refresh planned when the party moves inside.
Sand, heels and heavy lehengasHems drag, pleats shift and the bride walks further than in a banquet hall.
Draping for the walkLehenga and saree pleats secured for distance, hem height checked with the bridal shoes or flats.
Music outdoors stops at 10 pmMany Goa evenings move indoors after dinner, so the look has to work under two kinds of light.
A second-act lookLip, eye and hair refreshed, or changed completely, for the indoor part of the night.

Every function in Goa

Six Goa functions, six different looks.

Most Goa weddings are a long weekend at one resort. The bride moves from pool to lawn to ballroom, and each setting needs its own finish while she still looks like the same person in every photograph.

Haldi look by Tejaswini for a Goa wedding

When to marry in Goa

The best months, and what each season means for makeup.

Most Goa weddings fall between November and February. December is the busiest month of the year, and the week between Christmas and New Year is the hardest to book for hotels and artists alike.

The team that travels with her

Please read first

Our studio is in Pune. We come to Goa for your wedding.

Tejaswini is an India-based bridal makeup artist working from Baner, Pune. She travels to Goa, and anywhere else in India or abroad, for booked weddings and shoots. The artist who plans your looks is the artist who does them; nothing is handed to a local studio.

For a Goa wedding the family arranges and pays for the team’s travel from Pune (flights, or a car when the team drives with the kit) and rooms close to the bride. No visa is involved. Both sit on their own lines of the quote, at cost, so the look prices and the travel never get blended into one number.

Step 1 · Looks

Planned in Pune first

  • Consultation in the Baner studio or by video call.
  • A written look plan for every function: outfit, jewellery, hair, finish.
  • Family and bridesmaid numbers fixed about a month out.
  • Optional full trial in Pune before you leave for Goa.
Step 2 · Getting there

Fly or drive

  • Flights to Mopa (GOX) for North Goa, Dabolim (GOI) for central and South Goa.
  • For big kits or several artists, the team often drives from Pune.
  • The team reaches Goa the day before the first function.
  • Travel is booked by the family or reimbursed at cost.
Step 3 · Stay

Close to the getting-ready suite

  • Rooms in the wedding hotel, or a short walk away.
  • Twin-sharing is fine; distance from the bride matters more.
  • A table, a mirror and a socket near daylight for the kit.
  • Late check-out on the last day if the final look is in the evening.
Step 4 · On the day

Call times you can see

  • A written schedule for every person in the chair.
  • Shared with your planner, the hotel and the photographer.
  • Touch-ups booked before pheras, portraits and the reception entry.
  • Tejaswini stays through the functions she is booked for.

Included in the look price

  • Bridal makeup by Tejaswini herself
  • Hairstyling for that look
  • Lehenga, saree or dupatta draping and jewellery setting
  • Professional products, tools and lighting
  • Consultation and agreed touch-up cover

Paid by the family, at cost

  • Return travel from Pune for each team member
  • Rooms in or near the wedding hotel
  • Transfers in Goa between airport, hotel and venues
  • Extra nights when functions are spread out
  • Family and groom looks, per person

Traditions

The brides who marry in Goa.

Goa weddings bring families from Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Punjab, the South and abroad. Tejaswini works across all of these traditions.

Punjabi and Sikh

Chooda, kaleere and a dupatta that has to stay put through a beach-side Anand Karaj or pheras.

Gujarati

Panetar and gharchola, often with a morning muhurat that starts the day before sunrise.

Marwari and Sindhi

Heavy gold and layered jewellery, balanced so the face is not lost under it.

Maharashtrian and Konkani

Nauvari drape, nath and mundavalya, for Mumbai and Pune families who choose Goa.

South Indian

Kanjeevaram silk, temple jewellery and fresh flowers that must survive humidity.

NRI and mixed weddings

A lighter western-leaning look for a white wedding or cocktail, alongside a traditional bridal look.

Questions

Goa wedding makeup FAQs.

Is Tejaswini based in Goa?

No. Tejaswini’s studio is in Baner, Pune, India. She travels to Goa for booked weddings with her own kit and, where needed, her own team. There is no Goa branch and no local artist working under her name.

How much does a bridal makeup artist cost for a Goa wedding?

Tejaswini’s Goa bridal looks start at ₹50,000 per look, with makeup, hairstyling and draping included. Family looks start at ₹25,000 and grooming at ₹10,000. Travel and stay are added at cost on separate lines. The full breakdown is on the Goa bridal makeup price page.

Does the price change between North Goa and South Goa?

No. The look prices are the same at every Goa venue. Only travel and accommodation change, and those are charged at cost.

Which airport should the team fly into?

It depends on the venue. Manohar International Airport at Mopa is closer for Vagator, Anjuna and Candolim; Goa International Airport at Dabolim is closer for Bambolim and all of South Goa. For some weddings the team drives from Pune instead, which lets the full kit travel without baggage limits.

Will bridal makeup last through Goa’s humidity and a beach wedding?

Yes, if it is built for it. Tejaswini preps skin for humidity, uses thin, long-wear layers, sets the base in stages and plans blotting and touch-up windows into the schedule, especially before sunset pheras and portraits.

Can I have a sunset beach pheras look and change for the reception?

Yes. Each change is planned as a separate look or a refresh. A switch from a heavy lehenga and open dupatta to a sleek reception style is common in Goa because the evening often moves from the lawn to an indoor venue.

Does Tejaswini bring artists for the family?

Yes, when needed. Tejaswini always does the bride herself. For mothers, sisters and bridesmaids she brings trained artists from her Pune team, quoted per person.

What are the best months for a Goa wedding?

November to February are the most reliable months for outdoor functions. October and March work well with earlier timings. The monsoon, roughly June to September, suits indoor weddings only.

How early should we book for a Goa wedding?

As soon as the venue and dates are confirmed. December weekends, and the weeks around Christmas and New Year, fill first.

Can you cover functions at two different hotels or villas?

Yes. Many Goa weddings hold the mehendi at a villa and the wedding at a resort. Travel time between them is built into the schedule and the quote.

Do you offer a trial before the wedding?

A consultation is included once you book, in Pune or by video call. A full trial can be arranged in Pune before the wedding, or on arrival in Goa if it is agreed in the quote.

Will you work with our wedding planner and the hotel?

Yes. The schedule is shared with your planner and the hotel’s wedding team so the getting-ready suite, call times and photographer slots line up.
