Indian Bridal Makeup Artist in Canggu
Canggu weddings are smaller and more personal: a private villa between rice fields, a black-sand surf beach at the end of the lane, and a guest list of close family and friends. Tejaswini flies in from Pune with a compact team and plans the bridal looks for villa getting-ready rooms, where light, space and power are never quite the same twice.

Please read first
A team from India, coming to your villa in Canggu.
We are based in Pune, India. There is no Canggu studio and no local artist using our name. The artists who plan your looks with you on video are the ones who fly over, arrive two clear days before the first function and stay at or near your villa until the last one.
The client pays for flights from India, Indonesia visa arrangements and the team’s rooms, each on its own line. For a villa wedding, a room inside the villa or next door is ideal, because Canggu’s lanes are slow and early starts are common.
Indonesia does not treat a tourist e-VOA as permission for paid work. The team’s entry route and any permission for paid bridal services are confirmed with your planner or a licensed Indonesian visa agent before booking flights; official details are at evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Trials and touch-up cover go into the written quote.
Real brides, real work
Close-up work for close-up weddings.
All of these brides were made up, styled and draped by Tejaswini; no stock photos. At a 60-guest villa wedding everyone is within a few feet of the bride, so skin, brows and lashes are seen up close all day. That is what these looks are built for.

In motion
The process, without editing.
Small weddings deserve the same proof. These are uncut reels of real sittings.
Skin comes first
The prep that keeps a base comfortable in tropical humidity.
Soft glam
A lighter, glowing look that suits a rice-field ceremony.
Start to finish
A full sitting, useful for planning a villa schedule.
How it is planned
Looks, outfits and timings agreed before anyone travels.
Why bring her to Canggu
A villa wedding needs an artist who can work anywhere.
Canggu has no ballrooms with perfect vanity lighting. Getting ready happens in villa bedrooms, on verandas and in open-sided living rooms, and the bridal look has to be just as precise there.

How pricing works
A smaller wedding, a simpler quote.
Pricing is worked out for each booking rather than published. For Canggu villa weddings, it is usually a short list: the bride’s looks, a few family members and the days in Bali.
Message your dates, villa and functions on WhatsApp for an itemised quote, usually the same day.
Venues
Villas, rice fields and a few great hotels.
Most Canggu weddings happen at private villas in Canggu, Pererenan and Seseh, with a handful of resorts and event spaces for larger groups. Tejaswini travels to any of them, including the quieter coast further west into Tabanan.

Booking a private villa? Send the name and photos of the main bedroom; the team checks windows, power points and space before quoting.
The part nobody explains
Black sand, villa rooms and the afternoon storm.
Canggu’s landscape is beautiful and very different from Bali’s white-sand south. It changes how a bridal look photographs.

A skin-prep image from Tejaswini’s portfolio. In humid villa rooms, the prep matters as much as the makeup.
Every function
Fewer functions, more personal moments.
Canggu weddings usually run three or four functions over a long weekend, often all at the same villa.

For small guest lists, the bride and a few close family members are usually all that need makeup; extra artists are added only if needed.
Timing
Canggu is popular, so its lanes are busy.
Canggu is about 60 to 90 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic. Within Canggu, narrow lanes are often congested, so keep functions at one villa where possible.
| Window | What to expect |
|---|---|
| April – October | Dry season and the most popular wedding months; sunsets over the surf are reliable. |
| November – March | Wet season, with heavy afternoon storms; the paddies are at their greenest. A covered space at the villa is essential. |
| Nyepi (usually March) | The island’s Day of Silence: airport closed and everyone stays indoors for 24 hours. |

At the villa
Arrival two days early, a setup check in daylight, and every function covered.
Honest answers
What families ask about a villa wedding in Canggu.
Villas are wonderful and less predictable than hotels. Here are the honest answers.
“Is a villa bedroom good enough for bridal makeup?”
Often the light is too dim and the space too small.
What Tejaswini does
The team brings daylight-balanced lights and a portable setup, and asks for photos of the room in advance to plan it.
“What if the power goes out?”
Villa power can trip when many appliances are used together.
What Tejaswini does
Battery-backed lights keep work going, and your planner checks the villa’s generator backup.
“Can we play music late at a villa?”
Many villa areas have community rules on late-night amplified music.
What to do
Your planner confirms the curfew in writing; a beach club or resort can host a late party instead.
“Is the traffic really that bad?”
Canggu’s lanes are narrow and busy, especially late afternoon.
What Tejaswini does
The team stays at or next to the villa, and the schedule keeps every function in one place where possible.

Getting there
Ngurah Rai airport (DPS) is 60 to 90 minutes away. Non-stop flights reach DPS from Delhi and Bengaluru, with seasonal Mumbai service.
Where guests stay
Guests usually stay at the wedding villa, nearby villas or small hotels in Canggu, Pererenan and Berawa.
Beaches
Echo Beach, Batu Bolong, Berawa and Pererenan are surf beaches with black volcanic sand and strong waves; better for photos than ceremonies.
Catering
Villa weddings use outside caterers; Indian caterers work across Bali and can serve Indian and Jain menus.
Outfits and jewellery
There is no Indian bridal rental in Bali. Bring everything, and keep jewellery in hand luggage.
Pre-wedding spots
Tanah Lot temple, Canggu’s rice fields at sunrise and the beach at sunset.
Questions
Questions about a Canggu villa wedding.
Specific to Canggu. For island-wide planning, see the Bali wedding guide.
Does Tejaswini travel to Canggu for Indian weddings?
Yes. She is a bridal makeup artist from Pune, India, and flies to Canggu with a compact team. Bali would be a new destination for her; her destination experience so far is Goa, Udaipur, Jaipur and a bride who travelled from Dubai.
Is Canggu good for an Indian wedding?
Yes, for intimate weddings, usually 40 to 120 guests, at a private villa or a small resort. Larger weddings are easier in Nusa Dua or Jimbaran.
Can you do bridal makeup in a villa?
Yes. The team brings professional lighting and a portable setup, and plans the room in advance from photos.
How far is Canggu from the airport?
Usually 60 to 90 minutes, depending on traffic.
Which Canggu venues host Indian weddings?
Mostly private villas in Canggu, Pererenan and Seseh, plus COMO Canggu, Hotel Tugu Bali, Desa Seni, Nuanu and Soori Bali further west.
Can we get married on the beach in Canggu?
The surf beaches are better for photos than ceremonies; most couples hold the pheras at the villa or a resort lawn.
What if it rains during a villa wedding?
In the wet season, plan a covered mandap or an indoor room at the villa; storms are often short but heavy.
Do you bring your own lights?
Yes, daylight-balanced lights with battery backup.
How many artists come for a small wedding?
Often just Tejaswini, or Tejaswini plus one artist, depending on how many family members need makeup.
Can you do a pre-wedding shoot at Tanah Lot?
Yes, booked as a separate look; Tanah Lot is about 20 to 30 minutes from Canggu.
Who pays for flights and visas?
The client pays return flights from India, Indonesia visa or permission costs and rooms, all shown separately from the artist fee.
How is the price decided?
By the bridal looks, the number of family members, same-day looks and the days in Bali, in an itemised written quote.
Where should the team stay?
At the villa or next door, so early starts never depend on Canggu traffic.
How early should we book?
As soon as the villa and date are fixed; popular villas book well ahead in the dry season.
Canggu bookings
Send the villa, your dates and a photo of the bridal room.
Tell us your dates, the villa or venue, your functions and who needs hair and makeup. A photo of the getting-ready room helps. You will get a written quote with the artist fee and client-paid travel shown separately.
