Art Nouveau salons, gardens down to the sea and a pool on the bay. Villa Igiea is the Palermo wedding: grand, warm and very Sicilian.

Tejaswini’s studio is in Pune, India, and there is no Italian branch or local stand-in working under her name. She travels for weddings and pre-wedding shoots, arriving ahead of the first function and staying until the last.
Return flights, Schengen visas and accommodation for the team are paid by the client and appear on separate lines of the quote.

Function by function

Bright Mediterranean light and real heat. A light, sweat-resistant base, cream colour on the cheeks and a cool, high hairstyle.

Sea air and evening humidity. A matte-satin base that will not slide, sculpted eyes and a style that holds through hours of dancing.

Sun reflecting off the sea and white stone. Long-wear, humidity-proof products, no heavy highlighter and the dupatta fixed against wind.

Warm night light over the water. A refreshed base, a deeper lip and lashes that still read in candle-lit photographs.

A little history
Villa Igiea was built at the turn of the 20th century for the Florio family, Sicily’s great industrial dynasty, on the shore at Acquasanta. Its salons were decorated by Ernesto Basile, whose Liberty style defines Palermo’s Belle Époque.
It became a grand hotel early in its life and, after a recent restoration, is run by Rocco Forte Hotels, with gardens stepping down to the sea and a pool on the bay.
For a bride, the Liberty salons are a dream for portraits, and the gardens give a sea-view ceremony. We plan a look that suits both the painted walls and the open bay.
Specific to this venue
The wedding day
We ask for a room with good window light and a second room close by for family makeup, so the bride’s room stays calm.
Family looks run in parallel with the bridal skin prep, timed so nobody waits in the corridor.
Hydration, primer and a base built for sea light by day and painted Liberty salons at night.
Maang tikka, nath and dupatta set with the outfit on, checked from every angle the photographer will use.
First photographs while the makeup is at its freshest, before the busiest part of the day.
One artist stays near the mandap with a touch-up kit: blotting papers, powder, lip and spare pins.
New lip, refreshed eyes and a second hairstyle if planned; allow 60–75 minutes.
