Indian bridal makeup artist in Tuscany

A whole medieval village to yourselves, a mehendi among olive trees and pheras with the cypress hills behind. Tuscany is the private, countryside version of an Italian wedding.

Booking an Indian bridal makeup artist for Tuscany

Tejaswini’s India-based team covers Tuscany weddings end to end: bridal makeup and hair for each function, draping, and makeup for the family and bridal party. The team lands at least a day before the first event and stays on or near the estate. Flights from India, Schengen visas and rooms for the team are paid by the client and shown separately in the quote.

Tuscany suits families who want privacy and a slower pace: a restored village or wine estate taken over for three days, with Florence close by for a city function or portraits.

Your artist in Tuscany

Tejaswini: fourteen years of Indian brides, now among the cypresses.

The person behind this page is Tejaswini, a Pune-born bridal makeup artist who has styled more than a thousand brides since 2012. She runs Tejaswini Makeup Studio & Academy in Baner and still takes every bridal booking herself.

Tuscany is all natural light: golden afternoons, stone walls and candles at night. Heavy makeup looks wrong there. Her signature fits it well: a thin, well-prepared base, warm definition around the eyes and a finish that reads as glowing skin.

On a remote estate, preparation matters even more. The kit is complete, backups are packed and every morning is planned on paper before anyone flies.

What a Tuscany bride gets

  • Two planning conversations (a third if needed) covering outfits, jewellery and venue light
  • No rushed trial: looks are decided in advance with your real styling
  • Tejaswini personally on every bridal look, with her own team for family makeup
  • A written timetable shared with your planner and photographer

Where the weddings happen

Florence in the middle, estates in every direction.

Indian weddings in Tuscany split into two kinds. City weddings use Florence’s hillside villas, in the Oltrarno or the Fiesole hills, with the cathedral dome in the view. Countryside weddings take over a borgo or estate: in Chianti between Florence and Siena, in the Val d’Orcia south of Siena, or in the Valdarno towards Arezzo.

Distances look short on a map, but country roads are narrow and winding. An estate south of Siena can be 90 minutes from Florence, and a remote one may have limited mobile signal.

That matters for makeup. We ask for the team’s rooms on the estate, bring every backup product, and do not plan to pop into Florence for anything on a wedding day.

Allow this much time

Typical travel times the bridal team plans around.

Rough door-to-door estimates. Traffic, ferries and season change them, so we add a buffer to every one.

  • Florence airport (FLR) to the city centre20–30 min
  • Pisa airport (PSA) to FlorenceAbout 1 hour
  • Florence to Fiesole20–30 min
  • Florence to Il Borro (Valdarno)About 1 hour
  • Florence to Borgo FinocchietoAbout 1.5 hours
  • Siena to Borgo FinocchietoAbout 40 min
  • Rome Fiumicino to southern Tuscany2–2.5 hours

For estates south of Siena, many families fly into Rome and drive north, which can be quicker than connecting to Florence. We plan the team’s route to match.

Light and setting

How Tuscany changes each look.

Tuscany gives you clear mornings, long golden afternoons and candle-lit nights. Each function’s makeup is planned for the light it will be photographed in.

A wedding day in Tuscany

How the bride’s day usually runs.

An example for late-afternoon pheras on a hillside lawn and a dinner under the stars. We rebuild it around your muhurat and your photographer.

  1. 07:30

Team sets up in the bride’s cottage

Window light chosen, kit laid out. The team stays on the estate.

  2. 09:00

    Mothers and family first

Family makeup runs in a second house or room.

  3. 11:30

    Bride’s skin prep and base

A breathable, long-wear base for warm, dry air.

  4. 13:30

    Hair, eyes, jewellery and draping

Everything set with the outfit on.

  5. 15:30

    Portraits in the shade

Stone lanes, courtyards and olive trees before the sun drops.

  6. 17:30

    Baraat and pheras

Timed for the golden hour; one artist stays at the mandap.

  7. 20:30

    Change for dinner and dancing

Deeper lip and refreshed eyes for candlelight.

Dry-air check: Tuscan summers are hot and dry. We prep skin with extra hydration and keep a mist and blotting kit with the bride all day.

From experience of destination weddings

Small decisions that make a Tuscany wedding easier.

Do

  • Book the whole estate if you can, so the team stays on site
  • Plan the pheras for the golden hour
  • Bring wraps for cool evenings in May and October
  • Share a printed timetable with every supplier

Avoid

  • Midday outdoor ceremonies in July and August
  • Assuming you can drive into Florence on the wedding day
  • A heavy, glittery look in natural countryside light
  • Relying on mobile signal for last-minute changes

Questions

Tuscany wedding makeup: what families ask.

Do you travel from India for Tuscany weddings?

Yes. The team flies from Pune and covers every function for the bride, family and bridal party.

Which Tuscany venues do Indian families choose?

Borgo Finocchieto, Il Borro, Villa Cora in Florence and Castello di Vincigliata near Fiesole are on many shortlists; each has its own guide here.

Is Tuscany good for a large Indian wedding?

Most estates suit 50 to 250 guests. For more, choose an estate with several buildings or extra hotels nearby.

Which airport should we use?

Florence or Pisa for Florence and Chianti; Rome is often easier for estates south of Siena.

When is the best time?

May, June, September and early October.

How many days before should the team arrive?

At least one full day before the first function; two for remote estates.

What does the family need to send for the team’s visas?

Confirmed rooms, flight bookings and a short letter describing the event. We send the exact list per person.

Can you do a Florence pre-wedding shoot?

Yes, usually at sunrise around the Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo or the Boboli area.

Tuscany enquiries
