Cappadocia · Pre-wedding shoot
A hundred balloons rising over fairy chimneys at dawn, a flowing dress against pink rock at sunset, a candlelit cave suite after dark. Tejaswini’s team flies from India so the bride in your pre-wedding album already looks the way she will on the wedding day.

Please read first
Tejaswini is an Indian bridal artist living in Pune who accepts selected destination bookings around the world. Every destination booking is planned with the same care, months before anyone boards a plane.
Team travel (air tickets, Turkey visas, accommodation and transfers) is paid by the family at actual cost.
In short
You fly to Cappadocia for two or three days with your photographer. Tejaswini’s team arrives the same day or earlier, plans two or three looks with you beforehand, and does the bride’s makeup, hair and draping for every look, with quick touch-ups on location. The couple pays the team’s flights, visas and rooms at cost, shown separately from the fee.
Most couples shoot one balloon sunrise, one golden-hour session in the valleys and one evening look at the hotel, with a spare morning held back in case the balloons do not fly.

The artist
A pre-wedding shoot is often the first time a couple sees themselves photographed professionally, and the images set expectations for the wedding itself. Booking the artist who will also do the wedding makeup means the bride looks consistent across both albums, and the shoot doubles as a real-world test of colours, skin prep and hairstyles.
Tejaswini has been an Indian bridal makeup artist since 2012 and has styled more than a thousand brides from her studio in Baner, Pune. Her style is skin-first and photographic: thin, well-prepared bases, definition that reads in wide landscape frames, and colour that suits the bride rather than the trend.
Her destination work so far has been across India, in Goa, Udaipur, Jaipur and beyond, with brides also flying in from abroad to book her. For Cappadocia the team brings the same discipline: early arrival, looks planned in writing and a timetable agreed with your photographer.
A sample shoot plan
A full bridal-red look with jewellery, set for cold air and a breeze on the terrace or viewpoint.
A softer, luminous look and loose, secured waves for a dress that moves in the wind.
Held in reserve. If day one flew, this becomes a pastel lehenga look at the cave rooftops.
A deeper eye and richer lip for warm, low light inside stone rooms.
Where couples shoot

Outfit and makeup
The landscape is pale gold, rose and cream. Strong colours stand out; beige can disappear into the stone.
| Outfit colour | Why it works | Makeup to pair with it |
|---|---|---|
| Bridal red or maroon | Pops against pale rock and blue dawn sky | Classic bridal: defined eyes, red lip, warm glow |
| Emerald or royal blue | Rich contrast at golden hour | Bronzed eyes, nude-rose lip |
| Blush, lilac or powder blue | Dreamy with balloons in frame | Soft, luminous skin, pink-toned cheeks |
| Ivory or gold | Elegant in cave interiors | Warmer base, deeper lip so the face does not wash out |
Flowing, long-trail “flying dress” shots are popular here. They need wind, so we plan hair that stays in place even when the fabric does not.
Built for the conditions
Dry plateau air flattens skin. Prep is richer than for a coastal wedding.
Cream blush and highlight look like skin in close-ups; powder can look dusty.
Structured styles, more pins and short face-framing pieces.
Daylight lamps travel with the kit because cave rooms are dim.

Usually two to four across two or three days. One sunrise look and one golden-hour look per day is a comfortable pace.
Around two to three hours before sunrise for a full bridal look; earlier if the groom or family also need grooming.
Balloon flights depend on wind. Keep a spare morning in the plan; the valleys still photograph beautifully at dawn without balloons.
Yes. Light grooming for the groom, such as skin prep, a little coverage and hair styling, can be added to the plan.
April to June and September to October usually offer comfortable temperatures and frequent balloon flights. Winter brings snow, which can be beautiful but is very cold at dawn.
Yes. Many couples book Tejaswini for both, so the bride looks consistent across the pre-wedding and wedding albums.
Tejaswini does not do trials. Looks are decided in two planning conversations, a third if needed, using your real outfits and jewellery.
