Monte Mario · Rome
A terrace that seems to hang over the whole of Rome, with St Peter’s dome in the middle of the view. Villa Miani is the classic Roman villa reception.

Tejaswini’s studio is in Pune, India, and there is no Italian branch or local stand-in working under her name. She travels for weddings and pre-wedding shoots, arriving ahead of the first function and staying until the last.
Return flights, Schengen visas and accommodation for the team are paid by the client and appear on separate lines of the quote.

Function by function

Daylight filtered through a courtyard or garden. Fresh skin, a sheer tint and hair kept off the face for the mehendi artists.

Frescoes, gilt and stage lighting. Deeper eyes, a stronger contour and a base that stays matte under hours of dancing.

Roman sun is strong even in autumn. Classic bridal red, a satin-to-matte finish that keeps detail, and a shade plan for the mandap.

Crystal light and constant flash. Lower shine, defined lashes and a highlight that reads as glow, not glare.

A little history
Villa Miani was built in the 19th century on the slopes of Monte Mario and has long been one of Rome’s best-known event villas. Its salons open onto gardens and a long terrace with a panorama across the city.
Because it is an event venue rather than a hotel, families usually stay elsewhere, often at Rome Cavalieri nearby, and use Villa Miani for one or two evenings: a sangeet with the city lights below, or a reception at sunset.
For makeup, that means arriving camera-ready. We do the full look at the hotel, travel with the bride and finish with a touch-up in a private room at the villa.
Specific to this venue
The wedding day
We ask for a room with good window light and a second room close by for family makeup, so the bride’s room stays calm.
Family looks run in parallel with the bridal skin prep, timed so nobody waits in the corridor.
Hydration, primer and a base built for wide-open terrace light turning to sunset.
Maang tikka, nath and dupatta set with the outfit on, checked from every angle the photographer will use.
First photographs while the makeup is at its freshest, before the busiest part of the day.
One artist stays near the mandap with a touch-up kit: blotting papers, powder, lip and spare pins.
New lip, refreshed eyes and a second hairstyle if planned; allow 60–75 minutes.
